Btw Pokémon red/blue/yellow are $12.50 in Canada, I think this marks the first time a vc game would be priced higher between the US and Canada.
Was planning on getting all three, now I have to decide between the versions.

I just spent an hour with the demo of the solitaire based horse racing game. Totally bought that shit for $500 yen, it's AWESOME.

Not to try some of the retail games I bought. Some Japanese games are cheap as shit on Amazon, it's kinda crazy.

I know a few days ago we had some people asking about Stella Glow. It's on sale right now for $30 at Best Buy and Amazon US. I feel for that price that is a great asking price, as my only beef with the game was some story sections.

How can I tell what version of a game I have on 3DS? (I have an original 3DS XL)

The latest update of Shovel Knight was supposed to make a certain boss easier, but I'm still having trouble with it -- so I'm wondering if I didn't get the update or something.

for pretty much all games. title screen, bottom corner or somewhere around the game logo.

I just checked for the update on the eShop and it said it was a already downloaded.

The patch notes said Propeller knight was supposed to be easier as Plague knight, but I still really struggled with it until I found an Arcana that really helped.

It's $15 on PSN & Xbox Live, the physical version gives you a sampling OST (3 tracks from each game, so 18 tracks), then the 3DS version gives you 2 free themes (which you can buy on the store now for $2 each if you want). I think there's one more thing included, a robot weakness guide or something.

They fixed the price. I downloaded it and just played the first challenge. It runs fine, only a little slowdown which was probably present in the original.

So I went on the eshop and the N64 selection is horrible. It also seems that they are only releasing the same games that were on be Wii; which is barely none at all. What gives?

Oh wow you're right. That's definitely good sign then. Hopefully more are going to be released that weren't on the Wii then

I guess that one is for the NX to change. I just hope they revisit the N64 era properly with games from 3rd parties too. Right now, nostalgia for that era seems pretty high. I'd buy all kinds of N64 VC games, provided some proper emulation and no darkening filter.

There are a lot of third party games that will be stuck in licensing hell, sadly.

Heck, lets look at the 12 best selling third-party N64 games.

WCW/nWo Revenge
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Star Wars: Episode I Racer
WCW vs nWo: Would Tour
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
The World Is Not Enough
WWF No Mercy
WWF WrestleMania 2000
Namco Museum 64
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter

I wonder which of those are even feasible to think about bringing over. (Turok maybe?)

What's the problem with the Star Wars games? Different Developers I guess, but the license is back at Disney. Rogue Squadron made it to gog.com so I don't think there would be a problem with a VC release.

Star Wars should be okay, they did release Super Star Wars on other consoles recently.

I'm with you on the Wrestling games though. They should be knee deep in licensing problems. As well as all the Midway racers - no idea if those licenses got picked up along the way.

God, the Dreamcast theme is seriously the best. I smile every time I open my 3DS and am greeted by the VMU battery beep.

It's time for the Weekly Wednesday Wind Waker HD Roundup!

So I think updating the thread with our Let's Play on Wednesdays is probably the best way of doing it, and it's convenient because with our upload schedule means Part 9 is due today, which is Dragon Roost Cavern - the full video list from Part 1 to Part 9 below:

Part 1 (Story set-up and explanation of Zelda timeline): https://youtu.be/dIIlpF05bIE
Part 2 (Pig rustling, bait buying and telescoping Tetra): https://youtu.be/-QwIgJLKIeU
Part 3 (Rescuing Tetra and setting off from Outset Island): https://youtu.be/J7eFlZegLY8
Part 4 (Link fired into Forsaken Fortress and sneaking around): https://youtu.be/4432-NW2GhM
Part 5 (Meeting the King of Red Lions and breaking Tingle out): https://youtu.be/VkGRTDRspAU
Part 6 (Selfies, pots and Battleships): https://youtu.be/n842nP6bdik
Part 7 (Sailing to Dragon Roost Island): https://youtu.be/impodhCE1Dc
Part 8 (Postman Link unlocking Dragon Roost Cavern): https://youtu.be/KlrqNoCIoc4
Part 9 (Dragon Roost Cavern & defeating Gohma): https://youtu.be/wIYspaLZpkQ

Based on some helpful feedback (cheers Ehsan), we made the video for the dungeon longer and although 30 minute videos might work better in future, we'll keep it consistent for this Let's Play with videos for the dungeons running for however long it takes to complete it and have intermediary 15 minute videos in between.

As ever, if there's anyone who wants to watch and give any feedback or criticisms, such as the play style, the commentary, is the video too short/too long etc., or feels like sharing it with anyone who might be interested, it'd be greatly appreciated.

How do you buy a thing that obviously has a wrong price attached? It's not like the actual price of this was a mystery.

Yeah, we got them already.

Oh good! Really hope we get some Pokémon goodness on Wii U too. Ideally we'd get a surprise Pokémon Snap release, but as that hasn't been released anywhere worldwide, chances are better for the DS spinoffs, or even the Wii Poképark game already in Europe. I'd bite for either.

Because I figured it was the right price?

The LE is $50 and the regular physical edition is $30. I figured the VC versions add up to $30 individually so it made sense to me.

Game's been out on other platforms for month for $15 though. That was always gonna be the price.

In the dedicated threads, everybody thought the $30 price was the legit price in the US. The news that it was a mistake is extremely recent. I'm not sure why you want to blame this user for Capcom's mistakes.

Ugh, I kinda hate to reward Capcom for a shoddy port but $15 is a good price. I'm torn!

Was there are credibility to early reports of the download version having muted colors compared to the cart?

Sorry for being the über-asshole here but it was pretty clear that this was gonna be $15 in the eShop. The pricing fuck-up is obviously their mistake and they deserve all the blame for it but I can't really sympathize with someone day-1ing this at the wrong price when there was clearly something not right.
