~600K-700K more I think? But still, didn't Microsoft have the exclusive marketing deal for Madden? Plus traditionally Madden has sold better on 360 (which people might have assumed would carry over to the new systems as well), so that's why people are surprised.

What we need to find out is if Madden PS4 > Xbone Madden bundle + stand-alone. That would be very telling.

Double could mean just the Madden week.

So July average (33k~) throughout August, then 66k in Madden week = something like 166k~ very rough and guesswork here.

As someone who rarely follows NPD threads such I be impressed that the LEGO move game is at number 10 in the charts?

Has it been in the charts since the movies release or has it re-entered on the back of a price cut? Does this mean it's a truly massive hit for WB Games?

It's an indicator more than anything else. Doesn't paint a complete picture, but if your console consistently starts selling more copies of Madden than your direct competition, you're doing pretty well. Or at least, that's historically been the case.

Madden, like call of duty, is a traditionally xbox franchise. They even have exclusive marketing deals with EA to promote madden as and xbox franchise, so if its still getting outsold by the ps4 version, the bone is in big trouble.

And why are so many surprised the PS4 sold more Maddens than the X1? There's way more PS4's out there. How is that a surprise?

Has to be shipped in regards to the One statement. However, was the stock for the Madden bundle low, or did it actually sell a lot?

Well we know by US sales that 360 owners don't have some sort of allegiance to their hardware.

There aren't many costs in including DLC for a specific platform. But there is some.

Essentially X amount of hours for QA, some publishing costs and programmer time. Minimal design work.

That's how bad DLC purchase-rate is for the Wii. It can't pay for one of the least expensive things in game development. But you have remember where they're coming from. Wii U owners likely owned a Wii, where Nintendo did everything in their power to gimp DLC because of the lack of storage on the Wii. They conditioned their userbase to not buy DLC and this is the result of that. (Publishers get MORE MONEY on a game if the size is under a certain download limit)

So M$ spend all the add dollar for madden, partnership with NFL, and exclusive console bundel and it still sold less than PS4 version...
