It hasn't been that long since the PC release. I'd definitely expect it down the line.
For those who played Pillars on consoles, how was it? I feel like a rtwp game would be worse on a controller than a kbm.
With the ability to pause combat, I think the control layout for controller was as good as could be expected and works really well, after about 1-2 hours, I was moving through the controls second nature. They use the Dragon Age Origins ( if I remember correctly) radial wheels by holding left and right triggers to bring up the wheels which let you drill down quickly to spells and items and inventory, even in combat and they worked imo, very smooth and responsive. I found the story to be entertaining and a good deal deep and movement and combat to be very fluid. The only small hiccup I found was in the inventory screen, similar to Witcher 3, it was not the simplest task to move between paneled sections of the inventory screen, but by no means was it terribly intrusive.
One downside to the game, and this was an issue on PC from what I have read as well, is the long load times, especially as the game progresses towards the end game and many more items are collected. If you have even a middling like of RPG's of this sort, and do not mind reading a good bit, ( there is a good deal of Voice Acting), but there is still a good bit of reading involved, I recommend this on Consoles or PC.
On consoles, if you happen to have an Xbox X, the load times are better than on the S or even the PS4 Pro. I have played it on all three. ( not miles faster but noticeable).
