edit: Video because IGN's layout is goddamn awful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTXBjstzwNEYooka is the chameleon and Laylee, the bat, and if the dynamic and style seems familiar it’s because they were created by Steve Mayles, the same character artist who designed platforming icons Banjo and Kazooie and the modern Kong family during his time at Rare.
Using their unique abilities, the two characters work together to fight enemies and traverse the world around them. Yooka, being a lizard, uses his tongue like a grappling hook, while Laylee can pick up his partner and fly for a short period of time or unleash a sonar blast. The duo have a variety of moves to draw upon. You can see the characters in action in the news video up above.

Grabbed the new key art off the site, maybe add to the OP? Guess we'll be heading to snowy locations, get hype!
So Playtonic just posted a vine of the music on Twitter

EDIT3:
Found a new in-game shot over on Tumblr. Weird that it's not featured on IGN's article, I thought they had the exclusive scoop?

In engine animation of the minion, been posted yet?
editwhatever:Brace yourself.
Here we have the original original designs. Back when Laylee was a little more deranged, bless his cotton socks. He's still as cheeky as ever, though.
Yooka's look has been streamlined a bit, and is much more feminine than it once was. But you already noticed that.
Someone add these two videos from Nintendo Life to the OP.
