This is the kind of cool meta game that comes from Pokémon go. Everybody here is saying "the games too simple", but that's the point, it's meant to casual. I've already went on a hike with friends to get to a gym on a trail. These girls went kayaking to get a gym. People are socializing, there's crazy amounts of getherings. Even if you don't really enjoy the game there's plenty of fun to be had with other people who are playing.
