At least it can handle ports.
The CPU is immense this time but the games look like crap.
At least it can handle ports.
Christ, if it's not a handheld I'm going to be so goddamned mad. What are they doing?
Then again, it's not like I believe this anyway so carry on.
Can someone explain why x86 is a big deal? I'm not in the know with this hip lingo :<
Not that I disagree, but as I recall he simply heard during the beta that a port was happening, not that dev kits were out there. Maybe I'm misremembering.
Frankly though I'm pretty sure we've had an insider here say that dev kits were out there, so it seems a little hard to believe that they aren't...although you have to wonder what is out there when we heavy details and confirmations on the PS4k, meanwhile we basically have nothing on the NX.

they already have a handheld, though
it's the console sitch that needs fixing
I thought it was obvious that the console wwas coming out first?
That sound pretty plausible though since Nintendo don't give two craps about 3rd partiesSeems like you'll believe any rumor.
So the guy in the one thread saying he was playing a beta for a game that will be developed is lying? Even though Bish verified him?

I still dont understand it really. What makes it better than others?x86 doesn't necessarily mean power. As far as I know (as a layman) it's just different architecture/instruction set. A better comparison would be that PowerPC is Latin and x86 is English (I think)
Yeah, verified rumors state that Zelda NX will launch this year.
We're getting major conflicting reports, now I'll just wait for official info from Nintendo, it's getting scary.
how do they achieve backwards compatibility? Isn't the Wii U a PowerPC? Isn't it the same situation as why the PS4 can't emulate the PS3? Sorry if I'm wrong. Not that much of a techie.
Basically it makes porting games to the console a lot easier, which will make it more enticing to third parties. x86 is the architecture the PS4, Xbone and PC use.
Why is "Bish Verified" regarded as a 100%, unbreakable, certain verification?
We don't know how the process goes. People lie, people can be good at convincing other people that their lie is legit.
Oh boy, this is flying over my head..i kind of get it but at the same time i dont.x86 is an architecture like ARM is architecture. Something like i7-6700k or Atom X 5 z8550 is a CPU implemented on that architecture. Power goes between a small mobile device like a cellphone to a huge server chip with up to 24 cores.
I still dont understand it really. What makes it better than others?
It's not 100%, but it's way better than reddit verification.
Why?

This seems patently wrong based on what we've been told, or from even just the WSJ article from last year.
I think that may be worse than another GamePad. Did anyone ever enjoy Smartglass?Support for second screen sounds like smartglass.
We need a spreadsheet to track and compare rumours lol
Why?
Yeah, watch it be a PS4 with better GPU and slightly more RAM, but weaker CPU at $399
though the question is if 3rd party devs want to go through the trouble

x86 is older by at least a decade.Makes sense to me. Wii U BC has always been considered unlikely since PPC is archaic.

Because some really obvious fake stuff has gotten past the reddit verification. Like that thing people keep linking in this thread where someone made a fake leak for a class.
I agree, I too believe there was WSJ article or another reputable pub that indicated they were sending out SDKs last October. So I think the nofusion poster on Reddit is incorrect.
I have a stupid question: Sony is releasing RemotePlay to the Mac/PC soon. Is it possilbe (in a patent/legal sense) for Nintendo to add RP software to their WiiU-esque NX controller/handheld (assuming there'll be one)?

Friendly reminder that someone once got "verified" at reddit for posting this:
(it was a fake leak that a college student did for an assignment) http://kotaku.com/the-fake-video-game-rumor-someone-spread-for-homewor-1699726881
I remember reading a project about reddit verification in which he detailed how he could fake it.haven't we had plenty of "verified" reddit sources scamming info recently for projects for school?
So they gon be developing a game for a console that they have no idea what the specs are? No way
Makes sense to me. Wii U BC has always been considered unlikely since PPC is archaic.
The irony in this statement ; )I think the main benefit is availability of parts
