AMA? Pretty sure was a /v/ screen cap, nothing that valuable like an AMA.
Yeah. Then some GAFfer found out where the pictures that the guy used as "proof" came from. In the end it was nothing more than fan-fiction.

What makes you think we want another Crackdown 2?
Yeah. Then some GAFfer found out where the pictures that the guy used as "proof" came from. In the end it was nothing more than fan-fiction.
Crackdown 2 was a mediocre at best game with some pretty ugly visuals, I don't understand why so many people here are in love the franchise. Just let it die folks.
Isn't it the one Ruffian developed?
That's interesting. MS feeling the pressure or something?
But they've been working on it since March?

What's your take? Feeling the pressure since March?
Is that MS head-hunting specific employees from Sony's stable of respected developers or are these employees leaving to join MS' promising development environment?Really strange hires lately at MS.
And this one is even weirder.

GOOD on MS. maybe 3 or so years down the road they get my money if they finally produce exclusives that I find interesting (not one, but a few. Gears was not enough to force me to purchase 360).
they seem to be targeting a lot of SSM and ND guys. Can't find old posts.
Yep, that shit stings. The sad part is that I usually read this about games that got cancelled
Kind of late for a tech demo...
If i'ts Crackdown 3 i'm jumping out the window. Love me some Crackdown.

I thought you would only jump out a window at bad news?
I love crackdown as well and also think its inevitable
MS owns the IP right?
Yes, and while I am certain it is in development, the chance of it being Ruffian development is next to nil.MS owns the IP right?
It's pretty much public knowledge now that we worked on that back on the 360 when it was a rather different game: http://www.polygon.com/e3-2013/2013/6/10/4395790/ryse-seven-year-developmentDo we know if Ruffian are still assisting on Ryse or whether that was just for the version due on Xbox 360?
Yep, MS own the IP. One of their acquisitions this gen, along with State of Decay.
Oh what I wouldn't do for a retail, high budget release of SoD on X1.
Yes, and while I am certain it is in development, the chance of it being Ruffian development is next to nil.
I'm pretty sure the staff count is around the same as it was when I left. They'd have to staff up a shit tonne to get in the position to make a next gen open world title, and getting people (especially top talent) to move to Dundee is a big ask.
They're likely continuing as a support studio and working on their indie title, Tribal Towers. It's a damn shame so many of their projects never saw the light of day.
I left after Streets of Rage Reborn (4) got cancelled and moved to Ubisoft to work on Watch_Dogs. So things have turned out okThanks for the clarification. Hope everything is good for you on a job front.
I always worry when I hear about devs leaving studios etc.

As we've said, it's all about polish.I imagine you can't share anything about watch dogs delay?
But how do you like working at ubisoft though?
As we've said, it's all about polish.
Ubi is pretty awesome - wouldn't be here without the experiences from Ruffian though. Hope all goes well for them. I'd like to see more Tribal Towers soon.
Well I hope this means Microsoft is really beefing up their first party!
The beefed up first party is what made the Sega Saturn my system of choice.
This is something I think is relatively likely. I was convinced that was going to be Black Tusk, but it's probably more likely a studio yet to announce its presence to the world. They could have built a team specifically to make Crackdown 3 for all we know.
