They should take the time to improve the game based on the criticisms like they did with Ninja Gaiden.
you mean make a new game?

Maybe a mod should make the thread title less misleading? To clarify again, there's no confirmation of this. We heard it from a tipster, Sega denied it, and today Sega told me they're not commenting on anything.
I wonder whether the Wii U version was ever actually in development or if Pitchford just talked out of his ass when he praised that particular version of the game.
One less bad game coming to Wii U. I'm just annoyed at how much of a wasted opportunity when they could have just given Wii U owners Borderlands 2 in the first place. No one is gonna care about the GamePad being used as motion tracker when Sega and Gearbox were fully aware of how crappy the game was.
Which cryopod did you just stumble out of?!Uh, Bayonetta 2 is in development?
It had great potential on paper. The gamepad could have functioned as the Alien Motion Scanner.
No. Aside from nostalgia why would anyone want to look at that?
This is the quintessential definition of "mercy killing".
Which cryopod did you just stumble out of?!
Is it even that integral to the game (beyond fan service/nostalgia), though?having it on the gamepad would be pretty damn convenient compared to having to push a button to bring out the scanner and thus move your weapon into a non fire mode.
What was the last one?Jeez, Wii U just keeps shedding games.
What was the last one?
I see one of two possibilities:
1) The Wii U version wasn't ready and Sega is sufficiently scared at Wii U software performance to not want to throw more money into it.
2) The Wii U version wasn't ready and Sega is sufficiently scared at A:CM performance/quality to not want to throw more money into it.
(or both, really)
That's it? I thought he ment others too. Oh well this seems shit anyway.................This one.

that would have actually be cool, an always on tracking screen
Has any game recovered in sales from a terrible release before? I remember the Alone in the Dark PS3 version getting some improvements, but that didn't help at all.

It's certainly a possibility, but it's also worth pointing out that Sega's own games on the platform (Sonic Racing Transformed, The Cave) are performing rather well.and Sega is sufficiently scared at Wii U software performance to not want to throw more money into it.
Yeah, I don't get it. I don't know why this warrants a NeoGAF thread, or why it's now on [that banned site about going to nintendo] and MyNintendoNews and wherever else. I didn't even explain who the tipster was or what they said.
There's a reason I didn't turn this into a Kotaku story.
Wouldn't be surprising considering the reception.

A score in the 40's on Metacritic can change plans pretty quickly.Demiurge tweeted 5 days ago that it was still in the works.
Hmm.
Maybe because you posted on Kotaku, inviting your readers to "fill in the blanks," adding a coy smiley face. You implied it's true. So should we believe what you say, or assume what you say is bullshit right off the bat?
Porting the game would be just as difficult as increasing the level cap!
Well, that's not one Wii U owners are going to miss, at least.
