Isn't that the same as saying "There will be a big American Game announcement at Microsoft's conference?" Mind you that who knows if we'll see that out of Microsoft's conference, but this does feel redundant since you can argue that "Every year, there is a big Japanese Game announcement at Sony's Conference."

This is true but some years at E3 they tend to focus more on the west. I was actually expecting it that to be the case with this year (lots of focus on God of War, Days Gone, Spiderman, Destiny 2 + whatever else). Just reassuring knowing they still consider this a priority too.

Ridge Racer. Please. It's been six and a half years since Ridge Racer 3D, the last traditional Ridge Racer developed in-house by Namco.
Unbounded is a pretty underrated game though. Bugbear did a good job with it.
No shot at Kamiya, what was the last PS exclusive he's done? Okami and even then that got sent to other systems years after.
He never works with Sony exclusively unless he's apart of Capcom, like DMC. Don't know if he was much involved with Nier Automata.
Oh and Knack 2 release date would count as "An announcement". Cerny can sell me on stage on whatever, whenever especially if he views this game as a redemption to the 1st one.
