Shouldn't it be pretty obvious then that he is not a Sith or at least not yet? The card doesn't identify him as a Sith and he doesn't have a Sith name. Kylo Ren is like Anakin Skywalker. It's his real name not his Sith name.

Darth Vader is Anakin Skywalker with the nickname Annie

That really isn't the old style, that has only been used since The Phantom Menace. This is more of the classic Star Wars logo look:
The TFA logo needs a redesign it is far too simple but the Star + Subtitle + Wars logo structure is very traditional Star Wars.
Something like this would be PERFECT

Hence the quotation marks. But I don't like the old old logo. Its even worse then the new one. The 'Star' and 'Wars' are waaaay too segregated, and so relatively small they seem irrelevant.

On top of that, it is one of the most popular baby names in recent years, this year especially. I can totally see that being intentional, imagine all these young boys (and quite a large number of girls, it is popular on both sides) growing up and sharing the same name as the hero of the Star Wars of their generation. Take that audience surrogate connection one step further.
I doubt the movies will have the same pop cultural impact as the originals, but it seems like a good marketing move for moving toys.

They seem irrelevant because they were. The sequel to Star Wars was released as simply "The Empire Strikes Back", and the second sequel was released as simply "Return of the Jedi".
The logos of the prequels, with "EPISODE (NUMBER)" written in bigger letters than the actual titles, were ridiculous.
