This PC keyboard is something else

yes :messenger_tears_of_joy:

That's pretty much the vibe you give off right now

Dumbest answer ever...

I'm not in that business but I'm a customer and I've been using keyboards(mechanical, scissors, rubber dome) for the last 30 years.... and yes there's no innovation, THAT'S A FACT.

I have some ideas, but I'm in no position to bring them into this world, that doesn't mean I can't criticize mediocrity when I see it... People like you are the ones to blame when companies call "add fancy lights/displays" to anything a "Innovation"

Yeah, that's what I thought.. You seem to have what we at the office call a complainer personality. All complaints, but no solutions.

ehh... if youre proficient, you dont look at a keyboard while using it.
and how the keyboard feels is the most important, long-term.

this might be like RGB fans or giant ass touchscreens in cars... "wow factor" at the cost of functionality/performance.

Trash...

I really want to see some real innovation with PC interfaces, mouse and keyboard are a 40 + years old concept, just putting a lcd behind it isn't enough.
You saw one yesterday with the Apple Vision Pro - hand gestures (pinch to click) + voice + eye tracking.

I currently have a 60% keyboard and love it but get annoyed at no direct F buttons. This looks good but I'm not paying that price. I'll get the 75% Glorious GMMK Pro and call it a day. It's $165.

Why didn't you go with 65% like the Asus Falchion? :lollipop_confounded:

Yes and no.

That's a totally different type of interface, and although the demos were very impressive we know that non physical controllers will always give a worst experience to games.

There's a reason mechanical keyboards are so popular and all gamepad have rumbl, the reason is feedback matters to the experience and matters a lot!

I'm not complaining that this keyboard is not a new product with new features I'm just complaining that it doesn't improve the pc human interface in any meaningful way, who the fucks looks at a keyboard? Mine doesn't even have letters printed on the keys I know the layout by heart after 30 years using it.

Oh what the hell, I missed this one too. Animated by UE5

$349 ???? HOW. Has a CPU & GPU by itself plus the screen and mechanical keys. How the fuck they pulled that off at that price.

Seems like they missed their tentative early 2023 date, but this company is a serious one, finalmouse are good stuff.

Still prefer how the flux look without the center key cross hiding most of the beauty of the screen and that there's more options at the top for extra features. Reviews will be interesting.

No numpad, no care

Separate numpad will come

"The keyboard features a USB-C port on both sides of the device to add on any peripheral such as an external numpad if desired. We plan to release a matching numpad add-on in the future."

Which is fine. Numpad attached is too big on desk for gaming. And actually for gaming, if it WAS included i would prefer southpaw, which is more rare than Madonna's freaking virginity.

Cool concept... but those clear flat and hard keys don't look very comfortable to use. That price as well is wild lol.

Centerpiece on the other hand looks way more of a keyboard for function and ergonomics. Not really the same thing though..

It doesn't seem too badly priced, today I was at Best Buy and they had Glorious mechanical keyboards (barebones, no keys) for $170. $350 with keys.
This Flux keyboard looks sick, but I know I would spill coffee or water on it within 2 weeks and would begin to cry. LOL!!!

I will save $112.50 a month to justify me paying for this. But I must have it

I'm only waiting for review before, pre-order at that price range is too much for me. If reviews are good I think I'm jumping on the flux.

This will be a game changer for flight / space sims with all the goddamn shortcuts. Imagine the keyboard showcasing on a game basis what the shortcuts are doing

Even having the text would help so much

This becomes much more than just a keyboard, it's a sim/flight rig dashboard / button box, stuffs that typically cost a pretty penny usually.

I payed $260 dollars for the F8C lightning in Star Citizen after seeing CitizenCon this year...this wouldn't be so much of a stretch. I gotta have it.

That's wrong. But it's OK to be wrong. :messenger_beaming:

If I spent $260 on a microtransaction (much less one that's unreleased and never will be release), my spouse would stab me in my sleep, and she'd be justified too.

I mean, maybe for you but the trends on mechanical keyboards is clearly without numpad, 95% of it. They keep getting smaller and smaller, I would say we're even LUCKY to have function keys here. 60% layout is running rampant in mechanical kb world.

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
These keyboards look pretty neat, but do people ever look down while typing? This kind of reminds me of the touch bar my old MacBook had, and how annoying it was to constantly look down to find the action I wanted to use.

Still, the design of these are super cool.

Yep. probably right about that. Cept I do believe it will be released. I mean...I'm flying it right now. If CitizenCon is to be believed, and I know for some it's difficult to do so, Squadron 42 is in the polishing stage. They actually showed gameplay, though who's to say whether it was a vertical slice or not. Either way, I was inspired to support the project after playing for 2 years without doing more than the initial $45 pledge. I don't regret it right now. I look at it like it's gambling. I'll go to Vegas, blow $500 bucks at the Roulette table. In exchange I might make some money, might have a good time, but ultimately I went in being at peace with losing $500 dollars. So I went in with my purchase of the F8C lightning being at peace with the idea of losing $260, though I definitely play with my purchase currently.

TLDR
Just like any other $10 keyboard but looks gay

I can't fathom just handing over $500 to a casino. Money is not easy to come by for most people. Feel lucky you're able to do that.

Yea...it doesn't happen often. Special occasions only. I do feel lucky though. No doubt even though I can't swing it all the time.
