Just earlier this month the congress completely ignored the last set of cuts proposed by Trump. I think these are going nowhere also. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/01/trump-budget-winners-losers-237844

Losers

Trump: The then-president-elect asked GOP lawmakers to punt on funding the government last December so he could put his imprint on the federal budget. But when he finally barged into the debate, Congress largely ignored his requests — rebuffing his proposed $18 billion in cuts to domestic programs and giving him only half of the $30 billion increase in defense spending he sought. And while Trump got nearly $2 billion in new border security funds, not a penny of it will go to perhaps his biggest priority, construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Republicans love to talk about debt, until they are in charge. They will try to hurt poor people, but only to the extent that they can without losing their jobs. They'll increase the deficit and then blame the next democratic president.

Yikes. The guy should be in a nursing home.
Most republican politicians should.

They're a good example of how our racist grandparents can do some real damage when they're given real power.

"The good old days where only the strong survived and the rich ate the poor. Not like you pussies today with your mediwhatsit."

My biggest problem with the "dignity of work" line is that republicans, given the opportunity, would make work the most undignified thing of all. Slave labor, bad conditions, no regulations, etc.

MacArthur rage quitted
Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-N.J.) on Tuesday resigned as co-chairman of the moderate Tuesday Group weeks after The Hill reported that some GOP colleagues were trying to oust him for cutting a deal on the ObamaCare replacement bill with the far-right Freedom Caucus.

MacArthur announced his resignation in remarks before the Tuesday Group.

Trump voters should be proud that there president is doing a lot of stuff for them. That isn't jobs or giving better healthcare or even make it better for very low income family's.

These parasites are going to be a real problem when we're knee deep in the automation problem...

Unemployment is at 4.7% or so. I wonder how low the average American thinks unemployment can go. I wonder if even the average politician has any idea.

Ever since that epic town hall rant on the Wealthcare bill, I've found myself referencing this zinger a lot more:

"You know that book that you care about so much on Sundays? Put it down. You don't believe in it."

The. 👏Budget. 👏 Does. 👏 Not. 👏 Need. 👏 To. 👏 Be. 👏 Balanced. 👏

It's a shame you don't understand that tough choices must be made.

I mean think of the huge burden we've left our kids and grandkids in 2017 due to all this debt. $19,846,167,124,114.08 and counting!

Take a good look around you. Unemployment is sky high. The stock market is down. Businesses are closing. The US economy is on the verge of collapse any day now because of runaway spending.

The reality is we can avoid the inevitable moment that we run out of money and go bankrupt by making massive cuts now to virtually every program outside of defense. We have to wean ourselves off the credit card.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
This is what was said about the AHCA before it passed through congress to Senate. Don't underestimate stupidity, and greediness from the GOP held government.

The AHCA didn't pass though. Just because it got through House means little in the scheme of things when it had no chance of getting through the Senate. They passed it just to give Trump a "win", nothing more.

debt =/= insolvency

nah

The stock market is down.

Lol, maybe if you only look at the last week.

Businesses are closing. The US economy is on the verge of collapse any day now because of runaway spending.

This has to be a joke. What do you think will happen to the economy when suddenly hundreds of billions of dollars are removed from circulation? A depression with monetary deflation is what will happen. The latter of which will take a sledgehammer to our financial system.

Edit: As long as the financial underpinnings of a currency are stable, which it is for the US Dollar, running a deficit is nothing to be afraid of. It greases the wheels of the economy by making debt cheaper. Making debt more expensive is only advisable when prices aren't stable.

So, much like Trumpcare, it's a heaping tire fire of ill-informed cuts that manage to hurt only his own voters, and is so insane not even the GOP want to take it seriously.

Well, I guess I better hope my novel does really well or I am basically fucked.

Not that I was any less fucked before, but definitely more fucked now.

These people we're talking about NEED TO CONSUME GOODS AND SERVICES. If they can't consume goods and services becoming homeless then this has a far worse impact than actually taking whatever budget hit people complain about. Republicans want tax cuts so your idea of budget cuts is laughable given this revelation. It's not about budget deficit it's about Republicans' rich donors keeping their money at the expense of the rest of the country.

*Proposes a better idea*

Tax the rich and pay for these programs. Dare them to move to Canada or Britain. For them it comes down to libryul hell with bonus socialism or enjoying a post Brexit Britain. Hell force the President to stop taking golf outings every weekend and "encourage" the rest of his family to move to the White House instead of costing tax payers tens of thousands of dollars EVERY DAY they live in Trump tower. Use these savings to finance these programs if worst comes to worst.

No idea if this is a joke post or a sincere one.

That's how bad the American mind has become, I guess. Satire can be "sanity."

I've been iffy on whether you were a parody account until now.

That line made my blood boil. I have debilitating nerve damage in my leg and get SS Disability. I would if I could, but I can't work. So their solution is to cut my disability payments which I guess is supposed to make me pull on my bootstraps. Then my shitty predicament will just magically disappear. Or, you know, not.

If you're both interested and either tech or social media savvy send me a PM and I can point you towards some Virtual Assistant resources. (Free shit, this isn't some post promoting some pyramid scheme).

My wife has nerve issues and financially starting our VA business is much better financially than the careers based on the degrees we have.

We had a VA related convention last week. Almost every single person there had extenuating circumstances that require any work to be done from home.
