How can someone not see digital content distribution and AR (Kinect which is sort of like AR, which listens, and responds to your gesture and voice command) is not the future is a bigger question in my mind.
Well you can do digital on all platforms, but some of us like actually owning something we can play for years go come, not limited to the mercy of the publisher pulling it. If SNES, Saturn, Dreamcast, etc were mainly DD those systems would be worthless if the HDD or console died now. Not to mention something that has resell value is always a better value to me at least, You can't sell a game when your done with it, or buy a copy of a used game that was pulled from the market.
And that's coming from someone that has a 1TB HDD in my PS3 and I have to delete something every time I want to download a new game, damn drive has had less than 10GB free for the last year. My 360's 500GB drive is nearly full now also.
The Kinect point is well, pointless now, without it being a pack-in developers will always aim for the lowest common denominator as to not fragment the install base.
Without Kinect can you even voice chat without buying a mic now?
