Maybe the custom AMD 7800/7700XT chipset was true as well.
Probably not,the rumor is the Pro uses 2 shader engines,Navi 32 uses 3 SEs with 5 work group processors each if I got the number of WGPs right. The Pro's GPU is similar to the Series X in terms of setup.

Oh great, I can't wait to power this Pro model on.

45% is not much.
that takes 30fps to 43 lol - 900$ please.
we dont need this. and spectral AA can be probably done on normal ps5 too
you forget before 120HZ monitors some games were locked at 30fps that actually could run at 40fps, and 45% higher could take it to 60fps

edit also not likely regular ps5 can do it if it is using 300Trillion operation machine learning accelerator to run it.

Based on the leaks, $600 tops.
I mean everyone lost their minds when the PS3 launched at $599 (60GB) model, but it still sold. I would think since the costs are already prohibiting lowering the PS5 price, a Pro model would carry a hefty price. I don't mind paying less for more though.

That’s like downplaying the current 10 as 5, it doesn’t matter as it’s all AMD. As it stands we are looking at 10 vs 33.
Nope, we aren't. Pretty much no game leverages dual-issue compute. It's not exactly easy to do and furthermore, the differences wouldn't be linear. You ain't getting 3.3x the compute of the PS5.

I wouldn't count on many of those games getting unlock patch based on ps4 pro or ps5 patches.

Not sure what you mean, nobody’s arguing we are getting the full 67TF…

Says who? Obviously third party are going to hit or miss with dual issuing but first party are going to use it.

Also, of course I will get it but I am not looking forward to pre-ordering.
Anything playstation in poland is hard to get. I even had to order elites from german amazon because Poland market got shafted and elites delayed into april

How does Apple market the iPhone Pro?

This will have better graphics and framerates. It kind of markets itself.

It'll be marketed as the most powerful home console on the market.
well I mean.

They will use those bullet points. I'm talking about how heavy/nasty or subdued the marketing is going to be

I'm hopeful first-party devs will but there are several caveats. For one, you won't get a straight performance increase. For two, the regular PS5's SIMDs don't have dual-compute capabilities so this means that Sony's devs would have to do (presumably) a lot of extra work to leverage this. Dunno if they will bother or even if they do, if the performance uptick will be worth it.

I have 0 faith in third-party devs.

I think everyone got shafted on the PS5 pre-order announcement. Sony heads said don't worry, it will go live this day for pre-orders then Walmart decided to do it earlier and everyone followed suit, so by the time the news got ouy, pre-orders were sold out.

dual issue compute? I guess I am behind on my GPU knowledge.

So the single precision is now really half precision?

I'm not sure what's the limit on RDNA3s dual issuing capability or what the PS5 can run,but I would assume there should be a 2x speed up of for some type of operations on the Pro because the base PS5 is already using it. Think of back compat mode on PS4 games running on the PS5.

I was shitposting on the thought of PS5 Pro but those specs making me reconsider. Come out around GTA 6 and it'll be a no brainer, people want to experience that on the latest console revision out.

It's still Zen 2 with zen 2 issues (like segmented cache), upgrading clock won't make it much better just like jaguar with speed up didn't make much difference in PS4 pro.
I think a lot of people will ignore comments like this. If the CPU is still Zen 2 (which it was always going to be) then resolution will be bumped and FPS might be more stable in some cases, but 30fps games will still be 30fps for the most part.

Jensen Huang is having a hard time, he can't cope with 33.5tf consoles, that'll damage his ego, I mean he just retired the gtx series, and now dealing with raw performance, that's a lot of turning off Nvidia's feature sets.

Its really very simple.

It will sell itself
This.

The model they had last time was so successful why change it? Every nerd in the world will triple dip and if the cost of development is even half true they need us to.

Online will be the main event this time nerds unfortunately.

Sure, but 99% of games we know so far are GPU limited so that doesn't seem like a big issue. Zen2 on console is no 120fps CPU, but it seems to be holding just fine for 60 even with RT in the majority of cases.

Up to x4 RT performance with what i assume is AI upscaling? Niiice, this is the stuff i was expecting for the PS6. Really excited to see those DF analysis. Only disappointment may be the seemingly lacking CPU upgrades.

some games that also didn't have raytracing are rumored to get ray tracing post patch.

I personally want Gran turismo ray tracing during gameplay.

edit
hopefully higher quality reflections like this but at 4k upscale 60fps

I don’t see Sony doing a good job of patching released games, adding ray tracing/pssr, etc. They barely get unlocked/vrr added. The ps4 pro was a pretty shitty bridge to ps5 in my opinion, I’m sure this will be similar.
