One of the many reasons to be on PC. The best place to game and it's not even close.
Sony owns the IP completely just like Demons Souls.Sony can't do it without licensing issues and a From Software contract probably. DF pushing unofficial shit is different.
He's right and that weak response doesn't do you any favors.
Sony owns the IP completely just like Demons Souls.
They can do whatever they want with it whenever they want.
What From wants or feels isnt a factor, at all.
My money is on a path traced remake. You say this as if Demons's Souls Remake doesn't exist.
Likely reason we haven't heard anything Bloodborne related is that a Remake is already well underway for PS6 launch.
On PC, sure. On PS6...My money is on a path traced remake.
It's always been good but the ease of use it what makes it so great now. It's very simple to get a dozen (or more) consoles up and running in no time. There is also a ton of resources around to make everything a search away, which also helps.I can't shake the feeling that emulation, decomp, recomp, fan made games, and full game modding are all just knocking it out of the park lately.
We just regurgitating PS5 launch stories now? Sony isn't going to remake a singular game for an IP that it can't do anything with afterwards. They also run into the problem of the fact that Bloodborne is basically a sacred cow at this point, and any changes to the way it looks or plays at this point would be met with massive amounts of backlash. We've heard this same thing for years, it's not happening, Bloodborne is a dead IP.You say this as if Demons's Souls Remake doesn't exist.

Depends on the customization, I suppose. AMD broke the driver for Cyperpunk, but 9070 XT can do 1440p/FSR4 'Perf', Ultra settings, PT, and FG and sit around 120fps. Bloodborne is an old ass PS4 game. With way lower density than Cyberpunk. I think they could do 4K(FSR4)/30fps or 1440p(FSR4)/120fps FG with the right tweaking. On PC, sure. On PS6...

Ray tracing is a given, but path tracing might be a bridge too far. Could be doable at 30fps and PSSR upscaling from 1080p, maybe? Not sure.
Most current gen modern audience slop wishes it sold as much as bloodborneI find funny that, given these videos and some reactions here, one might believe that Bloodborn sold almsot the same as, let's say... GTA V, when, in truth... it's still a niche game (a WONDERFUL one, imho, way more charming than Elden Ring for example [i have platinum on both]).
I think the PS6's GPU is speculated to be at around a similar raster performance to the RX 9070 XT, but it will be much faster in ray tracing. I'm not sure if Cyberpunk's baseline performance will still be relevant in ~2028, you'd have to path trace a PS6 game and this will be a lot more demanding than a game from 2020, so slapping path tracing on top might prove a challenge. I wouldn't say it's impossible, but it will be a tall order.Depends on the customization, I suppose. Admittedly, I haven't been following PS6 and Xbox Magnus leaks too closely. Is PS6 going to be better than a 9070 XT?
Agreed, but since we do not know how many of those copies were sold in full price, we cannot know if the game was as sucessful as the internet might think (I believe it wasnt :-( )Most current gen modern audience slop wishes it sold as much as bloodborne

The only thing left to hope for is that with PS6 they gonna introduce some AI shit to its backwards compatibility so that games which are natively capped at 30 can be played at simulated 60fps with better upscaling. That's the only way I can imagine Bloodborne as well as RDR2 being available in something like 60fps.
Just like DLSS works on the Steam Deck for Clair Obscure, but without all the blurry graphic glitches. Shouldn't be so hard if PS6 releases around 2030.

8/10 is a really good score, if you're gonna be salty you need to commit broToo much noise about 8/10 game
So sorry you died to the werewolf at the very start of the game. I would be mad too if I was this bad.Too much noise about 8/10 game
For Bloodborne, not just yet. It will be once ShadPS4 lessens the shader compilation or we get a native PC release. One of the many reasons to be on PC. The best place to game and it's not even close.

Shader stutter cripples the game on emulation. Ruins any enjoyment I'd otherwise get from emulating the game.
It is bound to be worse in my AM4 build, 5060TI 16GB / 5700X, but even from what I have seen on high end builds, the issue is still there. Everyone has compilation stutter. It's not an exclusive problem to only some.Nah, maybe it's your setup. It works great for me, much better than on PS5.
Sorry, meant lossless scaling.DLSS on steam deck? what?
8/10 games are being released every week, this is just one of them, doesn't warrant any noise around it8/10 is a really good score, if you're gonna be salty you need to commit bro
I didn't know I had a weapon and used my hands ffsSo sorry you died to the werewolf at the very start of the game. I would be mad too if I was this bad.

Only when you traverse invisible boundaries between areas. It's very uncommon during gameplay or combat. 99% of the time, it's fine.It is bound to be worse in my AM4 build, 5060TI 16GB / 5700X, but even from what I have seen on high end builds, the issue is still there. Awesome for people that aren't bothered by it, but it's a big enough issue to ruin my enjoyment.
The PS6 should offer the same raw GPU power as the 9070XT. However, its performance in PT should be much better if Sony/AMD plans to make RT/PT a vital part of the PS6 architecture. I suppose they will copy Nvidia's approach to PT and use clever technologies that conserve resources by not tracing unnecessary rays. That's what Nvidia did with ada lovelave architecture (RT features like OMM engine) boosted PT performance 2x compared to Ampere.Depends on the customization, I suppose. You think the PS6 will have a 9070 xt performance... very cute.... also in for a big disappointment but hey.. keep the hopes up my man.The PS6 should offer the same raw GPU power as the 9070XT. The RX 9070XT already matched and sometimes surpased the RTX4080 raster and hybrid RT performance. With slight architectural changes, the PS6 should offer equally good performance even in PT. And here's what RTX4080 can do in PT games. If Sony/AMD can offer similar (or better) PT performance, I see a real possibility of a Bloodborne remake with 1440p FSRQ and 120 FPS.
Alan Wake 2 - 1440p DLSSQ + FGx2
also there's that little thing called power envelope, i doubt they want to make and cool a 500w consoleYou think the PS6 will have a 9070 xt performance... very cute.... also in for a big disappointment but hey.. keep the hopes up my man.
a 600$ console ( which is not a main stream price for a gaming console aimed for casual gamers but lets say its a normal price and everyone is happy ). to have an APU as powerful as 9070xt dedicated GPU, along with the rest of the console components... in a 600$ package.... yeah not gonna happen son.
How is Driveclub, does it look too dated? I mean, would I want to play it instead of GT7?PS4 emulation progress the past year has been great. Both Driveclub and Bloodborne are two titles I'd kill to have upgrades on PS5 and I can run them smoothly with almost with no hitches at 4k 60FPS. Sony has a bunch of games they do nothing with it, so let PC users get that leg up and make them playable on current hardware.
Different type of racer, more arcadey and much more visceralHow is Driveclub, does it look too dated? I mean, would I want to play it instead of GT7?
Far from it. The game looks great, especially now that the weather effects are working like 95%. I think things may look funky in the heavy snow storm at night, but this game should have gotten a sequel. Sony threw all the tech Evolution Studios done for the game, and that is a crime. Another MotorStorm with Driveclub's graphics and sense of speed would have been something out of legends. How is Driveclub, does it look too dated? I mean, would I want to play it instead of GT7?
You remind me of the people who said that the PS5 would never be able to offer Radeon 5700XT performance due to power budget and cost constraints. Every expert on this forum believed that a 1080ti-level performance (5700XT) was impossible. You think the PS6 will have a 9070 xt performance... very cute.... also in for a big disappointment but hey.. keep the hopes up my man.

it was expected to be released in 2027 according to Kepler leaks from before. regardless if it was postponed or not is not the issue. However, what specs are agreed on is already done from the day AMD announced that it will power the PS6 ( was that last year ) ?You remind me of the people who said that the PS5 would never be able to offer Radeon 5700XT performance due to power budget and cost constraints. The PS6 is not expected to launch until 2028 at the earliest. That's plenty of time to shrink the 9700XT. AMD and Sony will probably also make significant improvements to the RT architecture, so I woundt be surprised if the 9700XT will be even slower.
People on Neogaf actually expected something like the Vega 56, with performance between the 1070 and 1080. 'Vfxveteran' having contacts with sony engineers was even assuring people that anything stronger than a GTX 1080 would be impossible. When the RDNA architecture debuted in 2019, just a year before the PS5 launch, the RX 5070 XT with 9.7 TF was power-hungry and had thermal issues. People said that AMD would need to take the biggest leap in history to fit a comparable GPU in the PS5 — yet they did exactly that.it was expected to be released in 2027 according to Kepler leaks from before. regardless if it was postponed or not is not the issue. the specs are set on stone at this point. maybe extra Mhz boost or ram. but the specs of the APU should be ready to go as Devs are already aware of it ( if they are developing for PS6 that is, since games takes more than 2 years to make and if the system is pointing towards 2028 as you said not before even ).
I don't recall anything about PS5 performance being 5700 xt. but I remember the PS5 being about 2070 level ( on paper ) performance, when the 3000 was out and it was weaker than a 3060 even

Regardless. PS5 pro is about 3070/3070 ti level. and that was like 1 year ago ? 1.3 year ? even the 4070 is more powerful than that PS5 pro.
So no. bookmark this post. the PS6 wont be as powerful as a 9070xt . maybe 5070 ? 9060ti ?
Everything points to rdna5 being 50% faster than rdna4. So a 9070 XT equivalent is probable on ps6. But If It is a 2030 release, It will be really weak. You think the PS6 will have a 9070 xt performance... very cute.... also in for a big disappointment but hey.. keep the hopes up my man.
