There is, there's a document that talks about the singers.I hope there was a lore about her and other zombies
That's nice but I didn't ask.I've always found the suplexes to be stupid and cartoonish. Who is hugging a zombie? And why would a 50 year old put himself in a vulnerable position like that? I just beat RE 4 before playing this and I found Leon's gameplay better in RE9. The gun parries, picking up and throwing or swinging weapons dropped by zombies, context sensitive finishers, using a chainsaw, and overall better animations.
Finished it. Amazing game and up there with the best RE games. Bossfights were a letdown tho and i need a merc mode like yesterday. Cant believe how good the game looked on PC with path tracing. I hope all RE games moving forward will have PT support and PC versions like this. Braco Capcom. I think im gonna buy RE4R gold edition on PC now. I only played it on PS5 and never played the DLC
You can wait if you want, doesn't really matter all that much either way.Question....
Is it best to kill the Cook now as Grace or wait as Leon?
Yeah apparently they hate each otherThere is, there's a document that talks about the singers.
Yep. Literally the best part of the game lore imo! There is, there's a document that talks about the singers.
there is no survival horror in this game ( there is in the very beginning )
c`mon dude
You can if you look in the challenges section; it lists your current game's playtime under the speedrun challenge. I think its called Speed Demon. Is there a way to see your in-game timer like in other recent RE games? I looked in the pause and save screens but didn't find it.
Insanity without modifiers is genuinely the best survival horror experience in the series. You have to strategically plan EVERY route and put way more thought into using your ink ribbons. Every combat encounter is to the wire.Holy crap Insanity is brutal so far. Doing it legit without any bonus weapons or cheats and this shit is rough. Grace's gun isn't where it's supposed to be so I'm running for my life from everything, but the zombies lunge so far in this difficulty that I end up getting grabbed anyway lol
You need to make up your mind. Should games be accessible for adults with children or should it be hardcore and gate people from finishing by brutal difficulty?c`mon dude
Grace
- lots of resources
- lots of healing items
- hit kill "weapons" for CH, Lickers and Pale Heads.
- Infinite save ink ( even on the standard classic difficulty i crafted almost 30)
- weak ass puzzles
- no boss fights ( turning lights on to kill the girl was ok, again, no sense of danger )
Leon
- more resources than Grace has.
- healing items ll heal full hp
- 3 bars of shield ( kevlar )
- OP parry that ll work even on bosses and rocket launchers
- Stealth Kill ( even the stronger enemies )
- infinite saves
- weaker puzzles than Grace
Hiding in the dark for the first 20 minutes on a 10 hours game doesn't make it in a "survival horror", there is no sense of danger, no limited healing items, no limited resources that you need to use with care, no danger enemies that ll pose a real threat to progression.... well, at the end of the day everyone likes different things, if you think this is a great survival horror... amazing, for me its a good game and o awful survival horror game.
Exactly.Hiding in the dark for the first 20 minutes on a 10 hours game doesn't make it in a "survival horror
Nah, this mode sucks. Bulletsponges everywhere. If you want to see how it's done right on the highest difficulty, look no further than OG RE4.Insanity without modifiers is genuinely the best survival horror experience in the series.
cause i earned it, also, i m not complaining about the game difficult here, i was just saying that the game isnt a survival horror per say and thats a fact. You need to make up your mind. Should games be accessible for adults with children or should it be hardcore and gate people from finishing by brutal difficulty?
RE9 is a mainstream survival horror game, it's not gonna be truly difficult by default. For that you gotta go with alternate difficulties, like Insanity, or a smaller niche game.
You mentioned you were playing Insanity with infinite ammo. Why? You clearly want more struggle in you RE9 experience, how does playing with infinite ammo achieve that?
This is one of my biggest issues with the game as a whole, and the Leon segments especially. It does a lot of things seemingly just because RE4 did them, without any coherent thought as to whether or not they fit in *this* game. Briefcase with inventory shuffling -- but no reason to ever use it. Merchant with weapon upgrades -- but for only half of the game, and condensed into such a small timeframe that it feels pointless. Chainsaw enemies -- but made so easy they don't add any challenge or tension to the fights. Mortar sequence that rips off the RE4 castle breach -- but without the level design that made the former interesting. Sniper rifle -- but with almost zero reason to ever use it, outside of the church scene with Grace, which has none of the nuance that made similar scenes work in RE4. The list goes on.Made me laugh out loud when his briefcase popped up before the climax.
Or the glass level, which was actually new afaik? Such a cool idea completely squandered away. Just aim at the glass below all their feet and shoot. Then forget it ever happened. Literally got through that portion without being forced to move from my spot even once. May be with sparse ammo on insanity, I'd feel differently about some of these set pieces. We shall see...This is one of my biggest issues with the game as a whole, and the Leon segments especially. The tracker, as in the thing that let's you get points and use the boxes etc? If so yes, you get a purple variant as soon as you first take control of Leon in the crowded street at the street. There is also an upgrade box right in front of you in the same first street.Question on second playthrough.... Do we get the tracker as Leon as soon as he shows up and there are upgrade crates in the Care Center?
OG RE4 is survival horror done right?Exactly.
Nah, this mode sucks. Bulletsponges everywhere. If you want to see how it's done right on the highest difficulty, look no further than OG RE4.
ppl have so much rose tinted glasses for Leon that you ll see almost to no complaints about this, all bosses are trash tier, there isnt a single one that put up a fight. T-00 is a joke of fight, while in RE2RE you have a small arena to fight him and he is way more aggressive always closing the gap between him and the player, in this game you ll fight him in a fucking stadium while he ll just stand still for like 6 seconds charging every one of his attacks, so you can deal free damage without ANY feeling of danger and dont forget that you can parry 90% of his attacks.
Also, the bosses are so trash tier that i didnt even knew you get a rocket launcher in the final boss ( i didnt even saw he using one ), missed it completely and i did 2 playthroughs at the moment.
Also 2 (spoiler dont hit play if you didnt finished the game )
and ppl are glazing the game as one of the best survival horrors out there, this is re6 levels of retardation.

Perfect. Thank you for the info! The tracker, as in the thing that let's you get points and use the boxes etc? Read again bro, I was talking about difficulty and how it is done right. Never claimed re4 to be horror lolOG RE4 is survival horror done right?
RE4 is my favorite game of all time, but holy lmfao
Aight, man. Go play Grace's segments on Insanity again with no unlocks. You'll find your Survival Horror there.cause i earned it, also, i m not complaining about the game difficult here, i was just saying that the game isnt a survival horror per say and thats a fact.
also i have a 3yo what been an adult with children has to do with anything ?
like i said before, everyone is free to enjoy what they want, i enjoyed the game, its just not a survival horror game.
Yeah, you still dont get and there is no pointing arguing anymore, lets just agree to disagree.Aight, man. Go play Grace's segments on Insanity again with no unlocks. You'll find your Survival Horror there.
This is great to know. Going to attempt this when the DLC comes out so I have the incentive to give it another shot. They better not lock insanity for the DLC as well. Then I'm absolutely giving up on this. Lol.Insanity without modifiers is genuinely the best survival horror experience in the series. There's aI hope there was a lore about her and other zombies. I wish there was some kind of survivor mode in RE9, like hunk and tofu in RE2 OG. I hope there was extra mode unlockable were we get to play them while they were still alive, and not yet zombies.
The in-game playtime counter pauses for cutscenes so that cuts down on the playtime counter a bitWhy is the steam hour count so off.
My steam counter says 55 hours. That can't be right. First playthrough was around 17. And just reached raccoon city on my 2nd playthrough.
Steam counts as long as the .exe is active, but I'm betting you know that. I also saw where it could be fixed after closing/reopening Steam. Also, apparently Steam multiplies hours played if multiple .exes are open. So if you have 3 games running, it counts hours x 3 and applies it to all open games. Why is the steam hour count so off.

It's same with PS5, when I finished the game itself told me 11 hours while PS5 says 14 hours. Why is the steam hour count so off.

If you left the game running without actually playing it Steam will count that as time played as well. Why is the steam hour count so off.
