I think it looks interesting, though some of the CGI looks worse than I'd expect.

compared to Tobey, and Andrew, Tom Holland is definitely the weakest physically of the movie spider-man

Not confirmed yet if he moved in next door on purpose or he didn't know they would be his next door neighbors

What was shown of the movie in that trailer makes me more optimistic and I liked the recent MCU output of Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts and Wonder Man.

Ironheart and Captain America Brave New World were the only bad ones they released recently.

I hated Spider-Man No Way Home

So I'm taking a wait and see on this

I just realized Daredevil Born Again Season 2 is starting next week so looking forward to that

This looks good. Better than the Watts trilogy at least. Quaint movies, but ultimately not going to stand the test of time.

She's miscast as any "MJ" and the stuff with Peter's normal friends are the worst things in this version of SM, but with the stuff people actually care about (wide rogues gallery and other NY heroes who should be bumping into each other all the time) it looks like it won't be a total waste of time.
 
Same director as Shang-Chi which TOTALLY shit the bed in the last act, so this one could go either way. He doesn't strike me as a director with a singular vision, more just the guy that can string together pre-planned cg heavy action sequences. yawn....
 
I've enjoyed all the spiderman movies.

I'll watch it on streaming, but I don't see what is different about this movie, compared to the previous three.

Feels like a retread?

Nice to see that they're finally delivering on the Scorpion tease from a decade ago but I don't know, seems like they're cramming too much into this movie.
 
This motherfucker is going to be in his 40's and they're still going to be having him play a mid-twenties Peter Parker.
 
Was hoping they'd move away from MJ and Ned, but looks like they're basically going to undo NWH's wonderful and emotionally impactful ending. As is always the case in comic books, nothing ever sticks.

Oh well. Twas a fool's hope.

Looks pretty good to me. Hopefully Punisher is in this more than the old friends. Obviously the setup is Peter is depressed and having trouble letting go but doesn't mean he ever actually re-unites with them long term.
 
Ruffalo is just insufferable, his acting......style has worn so thin.

What I want is a multiverse Banner where Bana and Norton show up, kill Ruffalo, and we get a buddy Hulk film where they make the wobbly H with she-hulk. Green light THAT marvel!!!

I can see them killing off Ruffalo Hulk in either Doomsday or Secret Wars and just recast Hulk after Secret Wars
 
Wasn't a bad trailer. Not a great one either

Does all the focus on webbing mean that the next evolution of Spider-Man (as per the trailer) won't need mechanical web shooters and to 'reload' ?

MCU fatigue is pretty normal. It's not contrarian to say "same old shit". If he said that around the time of Infinity War saga sure. But not when MCU popularity has been on the decline for about 6 years.

I meant the story. It's been 4 films and we're back to awkwardness of MJ and PP yet again. I didn't care for it the 1st time I'm
not gonna care this time.

Accusing others of not having friends when discussing comic book characters is major major projection on your part. I can almost taste those loner nights.

eh, Ruffalos douchbaggery extends far past that. 95% of celebutards are against Trump, thats no reason to stop watching them. He just brings so little to the table, in that role in particular, that it's a bummer if he gets much screentime.

I'm also jealous he got to roll around naked in bed with Emma Stone for like a solid week for that movie, but that's an unrelated reason to dislike him :P

Thoughts on finally having a live action Tombstone and in-outfit Scorpion?

I know some people want to just see the usual top villains recycled but seeing them finally go deeper into Spidey's rogues gallery for a part 4 seems intriguing to me.

Tombstone was one of the coolest parts of Spectacular Spiderman Season 1. I thought it was a good, bold choice and his character paid off and became memorable in that show.
