Ok, I'm played 2 for nearly 2k hours (I stopped during dlc) and loved it but am so far behind on the story. Can someone give a YouTube video that's up to date? I'm m not sure how they would do 3 after the dragons?

This is very far off... I can't see this come out before 2029 if the beta starts at the end of next year. Am excited for it, though, even if it's UE5... but I do wonder if it can hook me as hard as GW2 did.

Holy shit GW2 launch what barely into the 2000s?
? GW2 came out in 2012, a couple months after Diablo 3.

Is it free tho
I can see them continuing their current model (you buy the game but no subscription), but with a more aggressive cash shop.

Biggest surprise for me in the show, was never sure if we'd get another new game, much less they'd also release this for PS5. Given the way Guild Wars 1-2 limit abilities, perfectly doable on a gamepad if they overhaul the inventory management.

They might as well double-down on the best aspect of Guild Wars 2 vs other MMOs: traversal. The variety of options and the controls for the various mounts was great, so I'm all in.

That awful kiddie Fortnite design not doing it for me. That was an awful trailer to sell the game.
Yeah, I felt the same. I played GW2 for like a year a long time ago and kinda hoped this annoucement would hype me up again to give it another try but this trailer did nothing for me.

i always want to try the Guild Wars 2 but there lot to catch up and there rumors of the 3rd game gonna come out. perfect time.

hopefully this wont let us down.

It's a prequel that takes place 1,000 years before the first game. It's Orr which is the original end have of GW2, but it's before it's fall.

If it's a prequel 1000 years in the past I suppose the charr won't be in it. I'll wait for more information but that trailer has me whelmed.

Very happy about this announcement.

Great to see at least one console being supported from day one, I think that'll help adoption which is so critical in this genre.

I think it looks great for an MMO.

Definitely going to try this.

People really are starved for an MMO and Riot is taking two decades to come up with anything.

Guild Wars 3 probably will be super successful and supported for the next 15 years.

It's great that they are finally coming to consoles, but I always thought it was so stupid that a game with this few skills didn't have controller support from the get go, and that they didn't make a port of GW2 years ago.

Well, that will suck, considering every other non-human race was repugnant and Charr were basically the default option for me.

Mmorpgs shouldn't get sequels, but kept being build upon like wow and FFXIV etc
Nah. By that logic, Final Fantasy XIV wouldn't even exist given Final Fantasy XI. And frankly, the two games are substantially different to play, catering to different tastes. It's no different with Guild Wars and its sequel.

Guild Wars 3 is going to have action combat. Not every MMO player wants that.

I think the problem is I see it as a MMORPG instead of the same model like Diablo.

I just prefer to continue to play the same game.

I know you can keep playing Guild Wars 2 but still.
