Will PS6 have 2,048 bits?

PS5 is 64 bits, a major step down from PS2 that was 128 bit.

PS3 was 2TF - PS4 only 1.8TF. Sony downgrades their consoles all the time...

This is not how any off this works

Sorry op but we stopped counting bits a couple decades ago...

It's bytes now, so PS6 will be a 256-byte console, duh.

PS1 32bits, PS2 128bits, PS3 256 bits, PS4 512 bits, PS5 1024 bits. Simple.

You've got to have at least a convoluted excuse, haha. At least Dreamcast had the 128bit FPU, Xbox had the 128bit bus, etc. Getting to 1024 would have to be a trip for the PS5 with the 64bit CPU and the 256bit GPU bus. That's what you call going full "Jaguar".

Since the PS5 is 1,024 bits, will Sony do the historical move of doubling bits to 2,048 or will they try to save money with only 50% more bits? Perhaps they will go with 1,536 bits for the handheld and 2,048 bits for the console?
You've just multiplied the number twice on every gen after the PS2. PS6 is different, basically it's everything except high bit count for whatever reason and it takes Cerny to explain all this.

If bits never disappeared how many bits would this generation be? We went from 64 to 128 I assume when we went Dreamcast. So I assume PS3 was 256, and than I assume PS4 would be 512, so than maybe PS5 would be 1024. So yeah, PS6 will it be 2048?
