This is not how any off this worksPS5 is 64 bits, a major step down from PS2 that was 128 bit.
PS3 was 2TF - PS4 only 1.8TF. Sony downgrades their consoles all the time...

it'll have all the bits you desire
256bit bus too but even if you add them up (lol) it's not 1k bitsNot sure where you got that number from. The PS5 has a 64bit CPU.
Bits being a defining aspect of performance hasn't been a thing for decades.
Literally all I can think of is AVGN whenever someone mentions bits
2,048 tits?

PS1 32bits, PS2 128bits, PS3 256 bits, PS4 512 bits, PS5 1024 bits. Simple.LOL, where did the 1024 bits come from.I'd love to see the math on that one.

Not so simple as Sony skipped 64 bit so your original point about "doubling" don't stand.PS1 32bits, PS2 128bits, PS3 256 bits, PS4 512 bits, PS5 1024 bits. Simple.

No. PS5 uses a 64 bit CPU but the GPU is higher.PS5 is 64 bits, a major step down from PS2 that was 128 bit.

You've just multiplied the number twice on every gen after the PS2. PS6 is different, basically it's everything except high bit count for whatever reason and it takes Cerny to explain all this.Since the PS5 is 1,024 bits, will Sony do the historical move of doubling bits to 2,048 or will they try to save money with only 50% more bits? Perhaps they will go with 1,536 bits for the handheld and 2,048 bits for the console?
You're saying you expect 4,096 bits? That would make a 5090 look like an Atari. Not so simple as Sony skipped 64 bit so your original point about "doubling" don't stand.
Very possible for them to skip a gen again. Poor Nvidia will need to catch up fast with AMD bits...You're saying you expect 4,096 bits? That would make a 5090 look like an Atari.
whoa, that's a LOT of blast processing!PS2's embedded RAM has a 2560-Bit Bus Width of sorts, so I guess that wins...
The exact post i wanted to make when i saw the OPBits?
