Resident Evil 4 Remake reused assets and it was still a remake.
Of course they would reuse assets, how do you remake something without the assets to remake. Does this chop think 1000 interns are gonna sit and eyeball every model from scratch
Code Veronica will be using assets from requiem does that mean it's not a new game?
Reusing assets is still considered a remake btw. I'm sure he would be happy if it was called a reboot or "reimagining"
Don't care if they reuse some assets,
The Resident Evil comparison is weird. If they made the remake from ground up like Resident Evil 2 Remake by being faithful to the original and then reused those assets for remakes of later Bungie Halo games, no one will complain. But they are reusing assets from 343i games like Halo Infinite. Even the main menu UI is from Halo Infinite. It does not make sense canonically.yet somehow developers finding ways to do things more efficiently is bad.
He actually makes a lot of good points. Like from lore perspective pure form Halo from Halo 3 should not exist in Halo CE. They used the inferior elite sword swing animation from Halo Reach instead of the superior one from Halo CE. The lines of Sergeant Johnson are not as good the Bungie games. The prophets don't look as majestic like before they had gold crowns and priestly robes. The levels in Halo CE were not designed around sprint. Cortana looks shit. The elite grenade throw animation is inferior to the original Bungie one.The title of the video is really weird because in the video itself he never says that and gives a pretty balanced view of the game with a lot of both positive and negative views.
The title and thumbnail is just weird bait.
I don't think you watched the video. He's saying they reuse assets from later games which don't make sense canonically according to the timeline of the game.Today in youtube... Influencer is dumb

Im not gonna give that loser any views.I don't think you watched the video. He's saying they reuse assets from later games which don't make sense canonically according to the timeline of the game.
Im not gonna give that loser any views.
If thats the context then thats even more sad take to have.
Its halo, the story is stupid, we wanna be buff space marines shooting the aliens, no normal people are upset by this.
Who is the normal people here? Because as someone who bought Limited Edition of Halo 2, 3, Reach and even 4, I sure as hell am not.Its halo, the story is stupid, we wanna be buff space marines shooting the aliens, no normal people are upset by this.
The man's a grown adult crying about the space man game on youtube, hes no different to that guy who cried watching that rise of Skywalker trailer, or that babyfaceboy or whatever his name was screaming at starfield![]()
We? Normal people? Threads and people like this are very common, we got a thread every month for 5 years after the games release. There are some really anal purists out there but even so he's saying the game looks decent in this vid. Not sure why you're calling the guy a loser.
Id bet most on gaf dont really care about the story/lore of the entire halo franchise. Some grugnak the white ogre monkey is the big bad now from some rts game no one really played and a bunch of random comics no ones heard of.Who is the normal people here? Because as someone who bought Limited Edition of Halo 2, 3, Reach and even 4, I sure as hell am not.

No, the lore is a big reason why the game had so many fans. Its halo, the story is stupid, we wanna be buff space marines shooting the aliens, no normal people are upset by this.
To see that no matter how much we disagree and attack each other, there's still universal, retarded takes we can ALL point and laught at.I'm not seeing why we needed a thread devoted to this dumbass's video

If the story/plot of the original game is basically the same and they are faithfully remastering the game then I dont see 99% of people caring.
The original Bungie lore is awesomeDespite the bungling by 343 Industries from Halo 4 onward, Halo lore is awesome.
This gets into the broader discussion of how you will never make everyone happy. You can just make more or less a totally different game (RE2), people will complain. You can keep the gameplay exactly the same, people will complain (DS). You can take the old game and carefully introduce modern features and mechanics (RE4), people will complain.it is a remake. the game logic runs on the Halo Reach version of the Blam engine, not on the original Halo 1 blam engine. and it seems to not reuse Halo 1 code but instead is a weird Frankenstein amalgamation of Halo Reach enemy behaviour, Halo 3 guns, and UE5 visuals.
it's just a really shitty remake

I will side with the purists here because of the importance of lore and stuff, and 343 has a long history of just not giving a shit about the stuff the fans care about, but no matter what they did, people will complain.
I understand what you are saying but i don't think Halos fan base exists anymore not at size anyway and gameplay and shooters have moved on, for better or worse.I mean Halo is basically split in 2, so there is indeed no winning.
however I feel more important would be getting the IP back on track instead of making everyone happy.
and the last time the IP was not derailed in some way was during the original trilogy... so that should serve as the inspiration, as there was objectively a bigger fanbase there than with what came after
and it clearly isn't inspired by the original trilogy imo

How?there's a way to modernise Halo properly, but 343 has not the talent to actually accomplish that
He actually explains and makes good points, despite the bit of a bait thumbnail/title.
I'd rather see endless Actman videos posted than that fucking Asmongold.
How?
Loved Halo 5 MP but the faithful hated it and the campaign as you say, was ass. Not getting into a sprint/ADS debate again but that's what kids want these days.because literally all they do is take halo, slap whatever trend is currently happening in the FPS genre onto it, and ship it.
with Halo 4 they went full Call of Duty with loadouts and kill streaks.
with Halo 5 they copied Advanced Warfare and Titanfall with thrusters and hovering in the air, while also pushing esports nonsense into the game HARD.
and with Infinite they made it open world (because of course they did) and the MP was just GaaS slop, launching with an insanely limited assortment of playlists (missing Social Slayer entirely, which is a staple of Halo MP) because that's what GaaS games did at the time.
now in the Halo remake they are too scared to release an FPS without a sprint button, but also aren't willing to design the game around that new ability, so instead you can see that the sprint speed is so laughably slow (it's estimated to be a less than 10% boost above not sprinting from the gameplay shown) that it ends up being basically a placebo mechanic, implemented for the sole reason to "fit in" with modern shooters.
literally all they can do is take halo, slap current trend on halo, ship it, let it die within a few months.
that has been every 343 halo so far. Halo 4 and Infinite being the worst offenders (both Halo 3 and Reach overtook Halo 4's active players within 3 months of Halo 4's launch, and Infinite died within a few weeks as well).
the closest they ever came to making something decent was Halo 5. but here the level design in the campaign was still ass, the enemy behaviour was badly designed, and the movement felt unfathomably clunky due to the mismatch of adding tons of movement ability buttons that do different things, while keeping a sub 80° FOV and a ridiculously slow max sensitivity.
