Amazon - Black Friday deals

Lmao this is hilarious. How are you first-day owners feeling now?

Totally fine, I've been playing my xbox one since launch day, got to play all the top exclusive games, enjoy them and then take advantage of the various sales and trade in programs at retailers and get back roughly the same amount of money for them 6 months later.

They probably feel great if they like the console. I bought my Wii U at $350 day 1 and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Nothing wrong with buying a console at the value you perceive it to be worth.

Like I won't be picking up an Xbox Two at launch thats for sure. Frankly though I'm more annoyed about the BS claims about Kinect being bundled for ever... until it wasn't and despite not wanting it just figuring they wouldn't lie about something huge like that. Not a great way to build loyalty.

The price cuts are less aggravating because they don't involve deception. Though it just re-enforces why next time I will wait a bit longer. I mean what console has dropped in price so quickly? But the silver lining is my box will be getting games and be viable in a way that wasn't going to happen if they had stuck to a $500 console with disliked unused gimmick meant to draw people in. So long term assuming the build quality hold up I think I'm just wiser, but not really incredibly bothered.

I feel gross, but only because I literally used it once then boxed it back up. If I had actually been playing it there wouldn't be any regret.

but.. sitting in it's box.. still? ugh. I'd sell it but I know it's not worth selling either.

there aren't really many exclusives, certainly not any good enough to justify paying 500 bucks lol

hell 300 is still too much IMO at least until it gets some bigger exclusives like Halo 5

edit: Ah, nevermind, no need for this post anyway.

I guess I was mistaken about the 4970k being out of stock at my local Micro Center. Picked one up and ready to finally build my new rig. Just waiting for all the components to arrive.

I guess I was not even paying attention since I thought it was three months of xbl gold with the bundle. Amazon just emailed me the code for one year along with the digital games. Is that $12.49 Titanfall deal still going on xbox.com if I redeem the membership right now?

Also, the AC games are on disc? Resale options intensify.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but the current Swiss Wenger watch Lightning Deal works out to $25:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CZ5VF84/?tag=neogaf0e-20

Use code CYBERWK14 for 30% off $100 (works out to about $50 since it's off the original $180 price).

Qualifies for free shipping too since the original price is over the threshold.

that's a pretty good deal... haha man.
EDIT: seems like I missed the LD, how much was it exactly?

What's this consist of? Might pull the trigger

It's all of Season 1 and a bonus character. The only downside of this versus buying digital is that you need the disc in to play. It's a lot cheaper, Microsoft's "Black Friday" price for just Season 1 is $20.

if killer instinct disc had the original killer instinct i'd buy it
i own the digital already but didnt but the $40 one :/

I bought back to the future trilogy blu ray for $15, happy :D

Upside, inside out he's livin la vida loca, He'll push and pull you down, livin la vida loca
Did they even do that in most cases? So far I've only seen transistor and second son matching the flash sale prices.
I recall checking a couple and they were the same price like Diablo 3, although it was probably more reactionary than anything.

Both the Saturn and the Dreamcast dropped 50% of it's original price barely a year after launch.

except consoles almost never drop this much in one year. I got mine in August and it's already $100 cheaper.
Almost never? You got that backwards, they almost never *retain* their launch prices (this until first drop btw):

It's not a matter of having "a" price drop after a year, it's the amount of difference between the launch price ($499) and the current price when factoring the free games.

Particularly if you didn't want a kinect to start with (and MS saying it was integral to the very core workings of the XB1), your initial purchase lost up to $270 within a year: $499 -> $299 inclundig $70 worth of games. By all account it is a loss that is > than 50%, if we want to compare to the above graph.

That is what is eyebrow raising worthy, not just having "a" price drop.
