Original cartoon is best cartoon (up until the half way point when it tried to be darker). It's always bothered me that most Turtles merchandise revolves around the original show (meaning they recognize that as the most popular) and yet newer material seems to shun it like a plague.
So, uh, good on Michael Bay for dipping into that.

Holy shit, the first episode of the current TMNT series is rad as shit. Great voice cast, PLUS it's like the best combination of the original cartoon, the original live-action movie and Samurai Pizza Cats (at least, the cutaways do).
Absolutely fucking incredible. Love it already.
Love Mikey's little "Hey, that's us!" when Splinter's telling the story, great throwback to the original movie.

People shouldn't joke about the potential for Bieber to do a song for this... I honestly can see it happening as a modern-day tribute. He's about the closest thing to Vanilla Ice we have now, so it fits. And he's shown a strong penchant for doing film-oriented stuff. Not to mention that from a marketing POV it would be gold. So, carefull!
As a long-time turtles fan it's fun watching all this come together. You all should check out the Nickelodeon show if you haven't, it's good. Even if this movie is absolute trash, the show and comics will still be delivering. The upcoming game looks nice, too.

I say it's an insult to the new cartoon to compare it to the 80's and say it's similar. For one thing, the new cartoon is smart on what it does and does delve into filler levels of stupidity. It does humor well and it knows when it can be serious.

What was the toy/show where the guys had these green/blue/red suits and there were holes/junction points where you could mix and match their suits? One guy was water, one was land, and the other air?
