Literally 100% of all DCEU films released to date have an evil version of one of the heroes as the big bad.
Zemo didn't even have powers and was never capable of fighting any of the avengers. Vulture is obviously nothing like Spider-Man. Loki and Malekith are nothing like Thor. Iron Man's last solo movie had him fighting a guy who could melt his armor and breathe fire. The Guardians fought a goddamn living planet.
I'll never get people who act like that bullshit complaint is the norm. And it absolutely makes sense here where the primary conflict is two men vying for the throne and mantle of Black Panther.

I'm more surprised that this is a complaint at all. Doppelgangers/foils/evil versions of heroes are one of my favorite narrative tropes. It's cool to see people who walk a similar path but somehow diverged end up enemies. Often it's a cool way to manifest a protagonist's personal demons into something physical. It can also be tactically cool to see opponents working with a similar skillset try to out do each other.
It can be done poorly, of course, like any narrative trope, but I always see it as good raw material.

Check out the original poem! And the artist was a member of the Black Panthers!
Ares was an evil version of Wonder Woman?Literally 100% of all DCEU films released to date have an evil version of one of the heroes as the big bad.
? GOD VS God?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGaRtqrlGy8
This version (the original original version) is much better IMO, the poem just works so much better as a spoken word piece.
Ares was an evil version of Wonder Woman?
Well LOOK. AT. YOU.I know, I just read it, lol.
Inhumans, if were specifically talking about Attilan. Though they dont deal in mysticism like Wakanda does. So in a way, Wakandas more advanced, due purely to its ability to blend mysticism and science, whereas Inhumans can do some crazy shit scientifically, but has zero mysticism.Who's more advanced technologically? Wakanda or the Inhumans?
What about the Atlanteans.
Wasnt it more of a surprise attack though? I mean, thosell getchaSee that is why I like you. Eternals are gold.
Edge a bit to Inhumans
Wakanda went to war with Atlantis
It didn't last long
Hey nowThe Kree come in pink and blue, traditionally. The blue ones are pure blooded and they're the ruling minority. They're typically assholes.
Who was the Enchantress an evil version of?
Suicide Squad just cut out the middle man and had the bad guy be from the team of heroes in the first place.
Suicide Squad just cut out the middle man and had the bad guy be from the team of heroes in the first place.
It was the twist or really a revelation to themGenuine question: did the rest of the squad even know? I don't think they all met before they were sent out on their first mission, and their first mission was the enchantress.
I wonder if they ever got debriefed and some soldier was like "congrats on taking down your former comrade" and they just looked at the each other wondering who the fuck he was talking about
I would have thought if vibranium is making all that money what are its uses outside of frisbees? Is it a commodity like gold? Has the Wakandan govt diversified by engaging in all sorts of banking chicanery that allowed it to amass so much wealth?
Yea this version is besthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGaRtqrlGy8

Didn't Wakanda get flooded later on or I reversed the sequence of events?Wakanda went to war with Atlantis

To be fair that was when Namor had Phoenix powersDidn't Wakanda get flooded later on or I reversed the sequence of events?
Like superman.Of course it's going to be. It's a Marvel movie and so the protagonist has to fight their doppelgänger.
Well as a first gen African immigrant. Its a fight between a homegrown African king versus an American raised exiled outsider. So its really deeper than rap. Most people dont understand the complex and often hostile relationship Africans/African immigrants have with African Americans.
my girl brie larson is gonna kill it, dont worryAs long as Carol isn't as boring as she is in the comic books.
Wait that's what this conflict is about? And Micheal B. Jordan's character and everything? Oooh this is gonna be good!
Literally 100% of all DCEU films released to date have an evil version of one of the heroes as the big bad.
BVS has Lex Luthor and Batman. Doomsday was hardly the primary antagonsit
Suicide Squad had Enchantress...??
I sure hope they don't. I would like to think we can have mature storylines in movies by now...

Is it a surprise attack when BP tells Namor every time they are in the same room "I am going to fuck you and yours up". Namor is just a piss poor ruler that didn't protect his people from the mess he made.Well LOOK. AT. YOU.
See if I ever give YOU information again.

Hey now
Ronan really shaped up

Arguing with Stallion Dan is like arguing with a brick wall. There's no sense to it. Better just ignore him than entertain his blatantly obvious "i'm just asking questions" rhetorics
Of course it's going to be. It's a Marvel movie and so the protagonist has to fight their doppelgänger.
Doppleganger? I prefer rival or archnemesis. Every hero has one.

The point is the doppelganger aspect. Loki doesnt have the same power set and/or fighting capability as Thor. They are contrasts and gods, but thats it. In fact, they arent even similar in heritage. Same with Malekith, though hes far less of a personality than Loki.Uh, what?
Loki is literally the flip side of Thor. The first Thor posits Loki is a better politician, Thor's a better fighter - if they each had what the other had, they'd make a perfect King. Loki wants it too much, Thor doesn't want it.
The reason they keep going back to Loki in Thor films is because it's always a great contrast. The sorcerer and the God, the politician and the hero, the King and the traveller.
You really don't know the definition of doppleganger.BVS has Lex Luthor and Batman. Doomsday was hardly the primary antagonsit
Suicide Squad had Enchantress...??
What are you talking about???
Doppelgangers:
Iron Man 1 Evil Iron Man
Iron Man 2 Evil Tony Stark
Iron Man 3 Evil Tony Stark with Powers
Dr Strange: Evil Dr Strange with sequel set up for Evil Dr Strange
Hulk: Evil Hulk
Ant Man: Evil Ant Man
Cap 1: Evil Super Soldier defect
Cap 2 Evil Cap
Thor: Evil Thor
Black Panther: Evil Black Panther
GOTG2: Evil StarLord
Not Doppelgangers
Avengers
Avengers 2
Civil War
Thor 2 EViler Loki and Loki??
Thor 3 I dunno
GOTG
Most of these are team up movies
I think he argument is that they're too similar to the hero, but that seems to be villain design 101. Usually you give the villains powers that can make them equivalent to the hero. They don't have to have the same ones, just ones that make for a good fight. Most Spider Man enemies either compare to his strength or mobilit in one way or another, with a few exceptions like Mysterio and Sandman.
Did BP kill any atlantean or only military? I feel attacking civilians is a bad look, even if atlanteans seem to be dicks.
Uh, what?

Wakanda always brings a Nuke to a knife fight

Especially for Black Partner I like the idea of him facing a doppelganger, as it seems like the movie is going to emphasize how much the Black Panther suit enables him to do. A fight between individuals who are equally equipped allows the focus to be on how T'Challa himself is superior to his foes.

Yeah but I mean he had am edge against Wakanda by having the power of a space fire bird godhe flooded new york in his past. if he had naturally flooding powers, a lot of places would be flooded
Cool tidbit from the artist of the Black Panther comic run with Coates.
Thought those genuinely interested in the lore and technology of Black Panther might appreciate it.
