Malachai tells me a story, and I ask him questions to fill in the gaps. It's just an exploration of 5 year old logic... so he says he is an Axe Cop and asks me if I want to join his team. I say yes, he says sign here. I ask him what we are going to do, he says fight dinosaurs. Also, I do not write word for word what he says, I translate it, paraphrase it, and sometimes make sense of it. If you wanted to get technical, you could say Malachai comes up with the stories, then I write it and illustrate it... but I just feel lame trying to cling to my writing credit next to a five year old. I like when comic credits are simple... this guy wrote it, this guy drew it.

How can anyone be sure the 5 year old is actually writing anything?

It's a 29 year old man and his 5 year old brother. Watch the 2nd video. The man has some say in what's going on, but the kid is the creative director and can override him. For example, the kid says that they have maps to every lab. So the man drew a file cabinet labelled "maps to bad guy labs".

It's obvious that the script gets a bit of massaging, but it's to positive effect.

Go beat up mall santas and shit in Easter baskets elsewhere. Even if the 5 year old didn't actually write it, that would just say a lot for the guy's creativity. It's not that easy to think with the sporadic possibilities that a five year old does. It's a lot easier to become more educated and learn something new than it is to forget what you know and regain ignorance, which is the reason so many kid's stories are full of crazy, improbable ideas... like flute cop turning into dinosaur soldier.
