Halo 5 Opening Cinematic

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

YEEESSSS

I had this stupidass smile on my face the whole time. Hurry up Halo 5. I'm ready to jump in. Ready since 2012.

this is actually closer to the lore which is great
for me halo was always that 1 guy against the universe, that sense of being a badass and that everyone knew not the mess with you, also the fact that you were the last spartan alive, it made it even more cool but that magic for me it is lost, will get for MP but what i always enjoyed the most in halo were the campaigns and this seems to take an ever crazier turn than halo 4 did

What an obnoxious cinematic.

Doesn't even hold a candle to something like Master Chief sending the Covenant back their bomb on Cairo Station.

IMO

Spartans have always been described as being able to do this kind of stuff. I have no problem with this representation, and I see this interpretation of Spartan ability as being the best fit for a movie, were one to ever happen.

I know they have, I just feel like there was an unnecessary amount of it... It was just action without substance.

Everything up until when they land was fucking awesome though.

I unfortunately still miss old Halo vibes which seem to be completely gone at this point, but I must recognize that this was a really well put together video. It just felt like a really exciting and cool new IP, I'm just really hoping for old school Halo vibes and emotions in the final game. I miss it ._.

I was going to say "pretty good", but then the action started.
It made me realize how much i detest that kind of "super-heroing" (i can't figure any other way to describe the action) in scifi. I don't necessarily dislike action scenes like that in fantasy (or super-hero films) but they don't fit scifi IMO. (Yeah, Halo's always been about super-commandos but always before somewhat different, IMO, i always though them as more of realistic special operations forces in power armor, with occasional crazy-moment. But that's just my vision of them.)

Music was pretty good though. Also technically quite nice.

Ah, how i miss the subdued, political intrigue-filled start of Halo 2. One of the best intros ever, if you ask me.

this is so far from the HALO bungie created, sad day for me :(
It is different, but I can't deny it wasn't incredibly well done.

When you compare it to the Halo 3 opening though, it does seem to lack some... What's the word? Refinement?

Halo 3 has some subtlety to it, a touching and personal scene that sets the stage of a more insular story about the struggle of one Spartan. This is like a scene out of The Avenges by comparison.

now this is the halo ive been missing since halo 2, just need some shredding guitar and it'll be perfect.

i also love how 343 has fully embraced the halo books, this looked like something described in fall of reach or first strike, just a team of deadly killing machines.

i haven't been this excited for a halo game since 2004

full

chills.

you mean Bungie's way of not showing any battle cutscenes with the Chief/ Marines? yeah I'd rather take this
good for you, im happy for you, for me it went form a incredible personal experience to a mindless big battle, halo was never that, it was always 1 against the rest but im glad you enjoy this new direction

Well like I said, that's not the entire intro.

I like Bungie's subtetly while 343 wants to make an action movie.

guys guys guys

if this is fire team Osiris intro,

imagine how blue team will be introduced

Ah okay, fair enough. I did not know that, either way I was incredibly impressed with the trailer. It just, like the other member said, felt different.

It certainly highlights the super ability and strength of a Spartan better than any game in the past had aside from the Halo 2 bomb scene.

That was amazing. A little over-the-top, but in a beautiful way. The sense of adventure and fun ass-kickery seems to be returning in glorious fashion. Really reminded me of the Avengers or something (I think that was even brought up in one of the Vidocs).

Wow that was amazing! The Spartans really kicked ass like a rolling force of nature! They lived up to the "demon" moniker the Covenant use for them.

Very cool. I don't have a bone yet, but I'm hoping my wife will get me one for Christmas this year. Halo 5 is really looking like a must have.

Damn, I was just having this exact conversation with a friend. You took the words right out of my mouth.

I'm sure this game will be great, I just feel... "abandoned" by the series. It might have been a necessary move to modernize the franchise though... so I mostly feel abandoned by casual Halo fans, I guess.

I'm reacting too quickly though, I'll buy and play the final game before I judge. I know you didn't forget about us, Frankie. I KNOW IT. :)

One of the best best intros I've ever seen and it's not even the full thing nor properly mapped into the game, thus the day one experience will still be relatively fresh.

HNNNNNNGGGG. Just a little longer now. The semester will make it fly by quickly.

THAT MUSIC. BASED KAZUMA!

Its like 343i went

"Fuck it, lets make a power rangers game mixed with the Avengers, then lets take that concept and put it on fucking steroids."

Holy poopstickles, that intro was balls off the walls exciting.
