For a while I was playing a lot of Killzone shadowfall MP and it took weeks to get the HUD out. I thought it was permenantly burnt in but luckily it wasn't.
Edit** at the time my TV was around 6months old. I've noticed it still happens but goes away much easier. I guess it gets better as they age
On a more serious note, it will probably be when TSMC can get their 20mn house in order. Since AMD and NVidia rely on them to manufacture the chips, this has been part of the reason it's taken so long for new cards.
Sucks that there is no new GPU news. My 570 was getting long in the tooth and I finally decided to bite the bullet on a "new" card. I bought a used Powercolor TurboDuo 280x on ebay for $160 to hold me over and play VR games when DK2 comes out. Hopefully 20nm GPU's come out early next year but at least now I don't have to worry about my 570 being enough.

A kingdom to someone that tells me how the hell to fix the random full screen stutters I'm getting on flash videos(youtube/etc) on a 4670k/280x. :/ I've tried disabling hardware acceleration and on all browsers. It's driving me nuts. I'm considering formmating and reinstalling windows 7 cuz i just don't know what. :|

Yeah, already have an SSD, couldn't deal without one now. Been checking out GPU's today and I am heavily leaning towards Nvidia and a 780.

What's the easiest way to check what is using your video card? My 780 Ti stays around 31 degrees Celsius at idle but seems to randomly hop around to using power for some reason despite not playing video or games. Still doesn't get hot, 35C but that didn't happen on my last card.

Asus Direct DU II 770 - $319.99 after $10 rebate (plus Watch Dogs) is the closest 770 worth picking up if you'd prefer Nvidia.

I'm starting to work out a build that will be used primarily for 3d animation/video editing. If I understand Nvidia's numbering scheme correctly it seems that it would make more sense for me to get a GTX 680 over a GTX 760... Is that correct(ish)?
Yes, between the two, the 680 is definitely the better card. The 680 is basically the GTX 770 with slightly lower clock speeds.
Yes the 680 is more powerful. It was rebranded and given a slight clock boost and is still sold today as the 770.
I would guess you should look for a 4GB version too.

Not sure if this is a great place to ask, but I was wondering if maybe one of you guys could help me out. My PC has broken itself with a problem I have no idea how to fix. What happens is when I give it power (ie. plug it into the wall) all the fans and lights in the system starts moving. This is before I even touch the power button. Nothing comes up on the screen, and hitting the power button doesn't do anything either. It stays this way to I pull the power again. I was able to get it to boot a couple times by fiddling with the ram, but after a few minutes the screen goes black and it goes back into its all lights on broken state.
I had this same problem earlier this year as well, when I bought a new video card. However, I know it has nothing to do with the video card itself, because the problem happened with both the old and new card. I got it fixed that time by taking it to a repair shop, but the guy there said he just randomly fiddled with stuff and it started working again. He didn't even charge me, since he said he had no idea what he did or what the problem was.
I don't really have any idea where to start, and I've been too busy to take a decent look at it the last few days. My guess is somethings up with the motherboard, but I really don't know. I'm considering just taking it to a PC repair place again but if any of you have any ideas what the problem might be before I do that, I would greatly appreciate it.

Trading in some stuff to Gamestop and will end up with $400 of store credit. Thinking about buying this EVGA GTX 770 card for $349.99 with said credit. Interested in 1080P gaming on my TV. Is that card a good option?

Yes the 770 is a great card. The AMD cards are a good value around the price range.

Do you already have a case? The new Crucial MX100 could be an alternative for the M550. Change the PSU as already mentioned, otherwise looks great to me!
Edit: Maybe check out the Gigabyte Windforce Ghz edition of the 780Ti - an extra $25 but the factory clocks and cooler are super nice.

It looks that way. At the very least, I don't think they'll be releasing their GPUs until at least very late this year. But no one really knows what they'll do. Manufacturer delays are definitely the reason though. Nvidia seemed furious at TSMC some time back in one of their powerpoint presentations.
