I've never replayed it, but aside from the music, I felt like it over simplified the RPG side a bit, and tried to make it more of a puzzle exploration game (which in some ways made it feel more NES-like). I definitely enjoyed it, but I don't remember it as fondly as FFII or FFIII on the SNES. Still enjoyed my time with it, but I guess I'd compare it to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. A side dish, that some enjoyed more than the main course.
