This bald eagle may look like it's jet propelled as vapour trails seem to streak across the sky from the bird's talons. The extraordinary moment was captured on camera by Pam Mullins close to her home in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada. She said: "The eagle was just gliding through the sky and I was panning with my camera trying to get a good shot. As I took the photo I just thought I had taken a normal picture. But when I looked back I realised how extraordinary it looked. I thought my photo had been ruined by the jet trails! I don't know if I would have been able to take the photo if I had tried."

Not a pic sorry but look at this 1080p video of an eruption on the sun recently. Probably the equivalent of many earths being blown high above the sun and crashing back down.

This video is nice because of the clarity of the image. You can really see all the different filaments crashing back down.

I love the sense of scale in this pic, not sure what it's from, though:

Love it.

Continuing with the same theme...

"The Minister’s Treehouse was built by a preacher named Horace Burgess who claims to have been inspired by god. He has been building it for over 20 years in a Noah-like fashion. The house is braced by six trees, is ten floors and is nearly 100 feet tall. The inside is a Escher like maze full of secret runs and tunnels."

It looks like a Redwood Forest/State Park

And if it is indeed a Redwood Forest there is a good reason as to why you think it looks like Endor.

Do you know the source of these two? I could SWEAR this is Boom Hall.

Nope, sorry. I found them on google when I was looking for reclaimed ruin pictures for a project I was working on. The filenames are just "Green 1/2", so that's not much help either.

From the volcano that blew in Chile recently, the same volcano which is making all my friends in Buenos Aires miserable.

Natures reclamation of civilisation is fuckin so awesome. Makes it look about 56 times cooler.
Yeah :) even Tah Prohm (where the 'trees eating temple' pictures are taken from) had to be cleared a bit. I stumbled upon one temple that had not been restored and it was barely visible under the foliage. I cannot imagine what it would have been like to find something like the actual Angkor Wat itself (Angkor Wat refers to a complex and a specific temple) in the jungle.

Bagan, Myanmar, the place in the other pic, is even more breathtaking (though pictures don't quite capture it). It is a semi-arid plain about the size of Manhattan, littered all over with about 4000 temples of the kind I am standing on. You can ride through them for hours without running into anyone. It is so crazy.

I have no idea where this is from or if it is real. Who cares.

I am kind of breaking the rules because I did laugh. But it's also amazing.
