More seriously, I think we've only had one Wii U direct, haven't we? It's concievable that they've tweaked the colour scheme. It's also very plausible that Pokemon just has its own colour, of course, but if it did, I'd expect the colour to be more different from the Wii U one than it is. Heck, go with Pikachu Yellow and be done with it!

I'd also be OK with this. It won't happen but I would be down with an Android/iOS version of this game. The DS only proved it works well with touchscreens. Hell, playing PAD has made me want a Pokemon game even more now.

That countdown works off your clock, without taking timezones into account. Don't pay it any attention.

It's certainly the only thing that would realistically justify these levels of promotion.

That's not the same thing as being the choice that Game Freak will make, in fairness.

Supplementary apps will continue to be made.

Actually providing Pokemon software away from Nintendo hardware will be anathema to Nintendo, though. You want proper Pokemon, you buy the hardware.

I wish I didn't fall out of love with Pokemon so many years ago. Then I could hype with you guys. Who knows maybe if it is a fully 3D Pokemon I might return to the series.

Why would they split versions between console/handheld anyway? Kids aren't exactly able to lug their Wii U around and trade on the go during recess. If they were doing a console game, it'd be its own thing, maybe.

Well, with the internet and wireless connections, they'd easily be able to have the same trading features in both console and portable titles. Although you wouldn't have console-console local trades, there'd be portable-console local, and also online.

Of course, this is assuming that the game would have a complete visual revamp (3d, no top down view), even for the 3DS. If it's still a top down game, even if using more 3d models, then a console version likely would be pointless.
