Puzzle & Dragons |OT3| Come for the rolls, stay for the trolls

I think I'm gonna try Zeus with my Lu Bu team later. I lucked into a Red Dragon Fruit from the PAL machine, so assuming I can stall enough to activate its skill (15 turns) it shouldn't be too bad. The only real issue will be if I get a bad Sonia activation on Zeus.

Have you beat SS Zeus with the Lu Bu team your thinking of using.

If yes then assuming you can stall for skills you probably will be able to do it.

Permanent descends will be here on Monday. Now he's prepping to do Zeus with Ra in 30 turns or fewer.

Died on turn two after failing to activate both turns :lol

Permanent descends? That is great! A bunch of free stones AND highlander and berserk get removed from the REM? That's even better news!

Zues with RA in under 30 turns? Very doable what are the subs?

Green Odin, Blue Odin, Echidna, Yomi.

He made it, but it was painful. I hope he gets more comfortable. Now five minute break..

I haven't even unlocked SS Zeus yet :p. I've done the math on the damage, and it's not a guarantee. I'll have 3 turns to kill Zeus thanks to Batman. A bad orb change on either of floors 4 or 5 could be fatal. Two water chimeras also might pose a problem. Also an invasion would completely screw me over.

So it's a bit risky, but that's half the fun. At least I know I won't be spending 17 stones like I did on my old account.

Edit: my internet connection won't let me watch the stream, so I'm trusting you guys to tell me the important stuff.

I was kind of hoping he would flub that Ronia active after using Lu Bu there lol

15 min break now but he teased another potential announcement after the 3rd challenge

Carnival so its a trap, meh.

Voting Lu Bu.

edit.
looks like my top 3 choices are in the top 5 already Yomi, Lu Bu, FA Luci.

For the Max Murai streams they would poll the audience, usually easy challenge for fewer stones or harder one for more stones, also to gauge hype. Twitch doesn't have polling built in, do any of the usual Twitch bots have that feature?

That was the worst played Twinlits run ever. He made mistakes on virtually every floor and 2 stoned it despite using a pretty good Lmeta team built for Twinlits farming.

so the carnival rate would be the same as the godfest rate, but without the godfest only gods?

as much as I'd like a Yomi, I'd take any of the godfest exclusives (save GGY) over him/her.

(FAL Level 15 and only 6 or so feeds left ><)

Am I missing something or is that player's choice pretty terrible? Even with the boosted 3x, you still have more of a chance to roll trash than a regular godfest. It's also kind of weird that they're deciding half of the results.

Edit: Misread it as running for next week instead of running for a week. Thought it was going to end before the next godfest came up.

It's a carnival not a godfest. I had good results in the first players choice carnival we had way back, pulled a Haku and Archangel Lucifer.

Don't pull unless you love gambling and throwing stones away.

Carnivals are not 3x, I don't think there is hard data but I would guess maybe they are 1.5x.

Best bet is a godfest over a carnival?

I want Lu bu, Shiva, FA Luci and my 500 day gave me some stones. i should have enough for a few pulls.

Their FB page says the player's choice carnival is at 3x rates. It's basically a godfest with mixed pantheons and no exclusives unless it happens to overlap with the next godfest. They'll probably wait until October 17th to activate it instead of the 10th lol.

edit:beaten by a minute.

I don't believe carnivals stack with godfest.

It might even decrease your chances because whatever pantheons are featured will have a higher chance then the carnival dropping. Pulling during godfest just increases your odds getting a gold but not a featured carnival egg.

Reading the the announcement more carefully it does say a select few will be at 3x rate. Maybe if the gods you want are selected at x3 it might be worth pulling outside godfest.

Carnivals don't seem to stack with godfest in the sense that a fire gala won't increase the chance of Horus during an Egyptian godfest. But since this gala is 3x instead of 1.5x, it shouldn't have decreased chances during a godfest. The only thing decreasing your chances during a godfest would be exclusives, because everything else is already in the item pool.

Edit: Actually, who knows. I can't really wrap my head around the percentages and 3x rates and whatnot.

If the top 5 voted gods are in fact 3x then it probably just means the chances of pulling them during godfest are the same as a featured godfest gods, but the odds of pulling the one you want are lower since the pool of cards at 3x is a lot.

If pc carnival is 3x for the whole event then the odds of pulling the one you want are higher outside godfest since the pool of cards at 3x is smaller.

I may if that's the case.

I bought my wife 3*85 pack during the pricing error for Android, I guess it doesn't hurt to pull 10-20 times. I will report her pulls.

I wish I had gotten in on that.

Fortunately the casino at this hotel sucks. Might justify a few stones, but without more understanding of the rates I'll throw them at a godfest.

Hmm. The downside to the permanent dungeons is that I miss out on 20 free stones from the individual dragon dungeons. That's kind of a downer, but I guess it's better than waiting who knows how long for them to come around.

Gambling the REM or gambling the tables?? which offers a better return on rewards
At least in the game I have some new gods after pulling. I'm a terrible gambler - I always try to win too big. This place could easily take advantage that so I'll spend it on balashis.

Do we know if there's gonna be another players choice godfest? I've been saving all my stones for that.

Has anyone actually encountered Genbu in Hera's dungeon? I ran about an equal amount of Hera and Zeus runs and I got 4 green orbs from Zeus and none from Hera. I wonder if PADX is incorrect about Genbu appearing in Hera.

Also, after mentioning not seeing many Batmen leaders, I now see a dozen of them on my friend list. I guess players pulled him out to farm Zeus. I've just been using my Ronia team coupled with either another Ronia or Lu Bu. I have a ton of both on my list, so I still haven't exhausted them yet.

Would Light Zhuge make a better water sub than Hera Is for a Kirin team? You lose 30% gravity and quite a bit of health but Light Zhuge would be main light element, can enhance light orbs, and has two two prong. Dunno if that makes up for the loss of Gravity though.

Zeus defeated!

Zero stones. I even had some bad luck on my board change on floor 4 but it ended up working out.

I'm excited to pick up Lilith tomorrow. Not sure I'll be able to zero stone Satan, but I'm going for it anyway. Current team plan is:

U&Y/DQXQ/DL Batman/Vampire/Lu Bu

The idea is a big devil burst. Ideally I'd have more light damage but I don't really have any options.

I'd go for Zhuge but I'm biased against gravity. Seems like a waste of time to stall for or skill up if you're running a spike team.

It's great that we'll soon be able to farm gravity skillups whenever we want. But I don't think that makes it significantly easier. 15 levels to max skill so if we consider "average rates" during 2x skillup, you need 75 Heras. At 40 stamina a pop, that's 3000 stamina. That's 60 runs of supers. And if you get terrible skillup rates...lol.

Furthermore, 15 turns at max skill is still a very long cooldown. Most descends are less than 10 floors and the harder ones hit very hard or have super annoying skills to mess with you when you try stalling. You can throw a whole bunch of skill boosts at the problem but you still have to consider the opportunity cost of using gravity such as the better awakenings that an alternative sub would bring (like the 2prongs on your Zhuge).

And Satan is down. I'm pretty proud of this new account. I'm on day 75 and I've taken down most of the descends that I had beaten on my old account. Just missing Hera-Is and -Ur Mythicals and Valk I think. Considering how much I spent on that account I'm pretty happy how this non-iap approach is going.

Granted, U&Y and D/L Batman as my first two rolls helped a bit. I'm not sure a better one-two combo exists.

These days I feel like i hardly get any PAL points. I guess Kirin isn't so popular anymore...? I have no idea who to put up as my second as well. Who do people want?? Man, bums me out. I think I was doing better when you could only put up one for your friends.

Ducarmel

Kirin is overkill for most stuff I usually I put mine up when hard descends come around.

People like using easy farm teams, and even that is not a guarantee of getting pal points.

In general if you really want to get noticed you want to 297 your favorite leader so it can be higher up on your friends list and of course be friends with those who are likely to use that leader.

edit: looking at the carnival vote looks like Kirin is still popular, she over took Lu Bu and FA Luci, should still be enough time for her to catch DQXQ and Haku, edit: looks like i spoke to soon kirin dropped a spot.

God bless all my old friends/And god bless me too, why pretend?
What would be the best dark gravity for a DQXQ team? Hera is?
Would a yomi be better than that for CTW? Trying to fill in a dark slot

Ducarmel

Member
Hera Is because DQXQ changes dark orbs, and I guess it depends if you need gravity for the boss. If you don't need gravity then bring Yomi better awakenings and a very useful skill.

There's a big gap between #6 and #7 so I doubt Shiva can make it to the top 5. I only have Yomi and Haku, would like any of the others.

The waifu-est of the Chinese girls I guess

FA Luci jumped up a ton ever since he got his busties; he also placed high on the Japanese Build-A-Godfest
