Watanabe says they want to create an oldschool scifi adventure show with lots of new elements as well, and they want it to feel really epic. There will be a ton of variety and new aliens every week. They already have over 100 designs.

This is great. I was getting sick of all the high school settings for most of the anime of today.

Also, didn't realize how old this thread was. I haven't seen it on Crunchyroll.

This was an incredibly fun show. He said "Mushroom Samba every episode" and I couldn't believe him because that was such a great episode.

He just about got there. He's one super talented guy.

Might try and revisit this show, but I got to the Ramen episode and didn't really feel it even though I'm a massive fan of his other work. Does it get better?
