"Whether I'm fighting for my life, plundering forgotten barrows, or just watching the sun play across the water in a calm moment of respite, Valheim has created a world I'm consistently joyful to live in and discover more of. It's definitely a traditional survival game at heart, which means the further in you get, the more you have to put up with some tedious grinding before you can get back to the good parts. But even at its early access launch, those good parts are already very good, especially when you get to take to the seas or test your skill against its imposing bosses. And the simple but exceptional art and music create a strong sense of place in which to do it all. Grab some mead and come join me by the fire. I don't think you'll be disappointed." - IGN, 2021 review (9/10)

The true omega genre.

I love Valheim, played it 3 years ago and have been waiting for the final release so I am looking forward to jumping in again. Same for Palworld.

A one of a kind game. Played it twice with friends, once vanilla where we rented a server and played for like 9 months, and a second time with mods with a ton of QoL features. Fantastic game.

i love this fkn game. a year ago i was trying to find a fun game to play with my little nephews and found valheim. i had no idea the game even existed. i went full hardcore and beat the game up to that point of what you could progress to.

Here's a video of my final base and some gameplay if anyone is curious about the game. It's pretty fkn fun, and challenging (video has spoilers)

It was very fun both alone and with friends when it launched. I played it for 136 hours.

I don't know if I care to go back though. But back then at least it did the procedural open world adventure survival thing very well. Immersive fun.
