This generation is all about pricing. We don't need faulty research to confirm what we already know.
Which explains WiiU's stranglehold on the market^^ /s

Didn't PS4 outsell the XBO last November?
That records purchase receipts . There's a reason the firm is in business. They're not pulling these numbers from thin air.A phone app survey? Oh.
Sony sold every console it shipped last November, and it was extremely limited on Black Friday, correct?
So SONY won then.
It was $450 in September. Just comparing bundles.

I wonder how big a financial hit MS took to create market share with these crazy bundles.
Great for consumers, but there is no way MS made any short term money on this.
Infoscout last Black Friday:

Methodology last Black Friday:
"Of over 102k shopping receipts tracked by InfoScout on Black Friday, slightly over 1,500 included purchases of a gaming console or console game. The data includes purchases at all major retailers carrying electronics including Walmart, Target, Best Buy, GameStop, RadioShack, and others. For more information related to our data and panel representation, visit our data page."

Don't kill me, I'm just the messenger

Even I am very skeptical of infoscout, but do we have another source for black friday 2013 sales? We know that November went to Sony, but how available was the system for black friday?
The. King. Is. Back.

I'm console agnostic, but what gen, exactly, was MicroSoft "king" of?
If that phone app survey is to be believed, it would mean both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 doubled PS4 sales on Black Friday, the largest console moving day of the year. PS4 supply didn't get really bad until December.

My PS4 feels kinda obsolete right now.

The thing in question is not the sample size, people.
If this sample is representative, the sample size used still predicts a commanding dominance during Black Friday. There's no point in hammering on that part.
Seems reliable.
McDonalds sold more burgers than both combined.
It's really up to the messenger to decide whether or not a messenger is worth delivering in this case, don't you think?

But is the sample representative? After all, it's comprised of whatever people who download the app for rewards want to show them.
Uh... not really conclusive. Especially considering their track record for last year.
