Depends on who wants to brag, on what specific thing and how confident they may or may not be. But yeah you're probably right.Maybe Tuesday if anything? I'm just assuming they will keep prices for cyber Monday

To get this data, InfoScout uses two smartphone apps that reward consumers for uploading their purchases by taking pictures of their receipts.
What don't you get? I didn't make any conclusions about Infoscout. I just presented their findings last year for comparison.
Not sure I understand. This is the US market we're talking about. Not only was the 360 significantly ahead of the PS3 in that region, it probably surpassed the Wii as well a while ago.
I don't get this? Yeah they won November last year but at Black Friday you couldn't find a PS4 really anywhere.
It would be insane if Sony won.
The price MS is willing to sell the X1 at is just craziness.
There was some insane deals, was kind surprised!
Yeah, I feel like launch years are going to produce pretty wacky sales data in regard to Black Friday. Most retailers aren't going to offer massive discounts on the hardware (since the stock will sell out regardless) - and there's virtually no reason for the mass audience to adopt the product at that point.
I think MS will edge out Sony by a small margin in November, but I do wonder how much this "victory" is going to cost MS. I'm assuming they're losing money per console sold at $330 a pop with 3 free games thrown in.
It would still surprise me if the Xbox One wasn't at least very competitive, if not the outright winner. If people still aren't buying Xbox Ones when they're substantially cheaper than the PS4, Microsoft is in serious trouble.
This is what happens when you have multiple companies fighting for your dollars. Competition is consumer friendly.

Substantially cheaper AND unquestionably the better Fall exclusive lineup of games. Not sure that else they can do if they can't outsell the PS4 with a cheaper console and 4 broken Halo games for the price of one.
Yeah. I mean, if anything I would compare last year's stats from this group to December 2013 NPD instead of November 2013 NPD since there wasn't a big boost in PS4/XB1 sales for the latter on Black Friday due to that month being the launch for both consoles.
Black Friday could have been the start of the PS4 being hard to find. If true then that would relate to the Black Friday stats from last year that showed Xbox One above PS4 with the Xbox One beating the PS4 for December 2013 NPD.
So like I said before, while I don't think these stats are that indicative, I don't think we should compare the stats from last year to the stats from this year; Different situations. There wasn't a "Black Friday" boost for the XB1/PS4 in 2013 like there was for both of those systems this year.
Substantially cheaper AND unquestionably the better Fall exclusive lineup of games. Not sure that else they can do if they can't outsell the PS4 with a cheaper console and 4 Halo games for the price of one.
But this is the point. In what world (apparently Earth) is one piece of the market more important than the whole market? People neglect the entire world, and some people do not understand why. And I would have to agree and say that I also do not understand.
Yup. They have to be bleeding money, but they also had to cut the price and invest on the market share, hoping to get it back in the future somehow. Even if they win, unless they win by a huge margin, it's still gotta be a huge financial loss (IMO).
I guess, It's better then having the units collecting dust at warehouses and shelves, and letting Sony just dominate the holidays in the US. I still can't figure out their long-term plan by taking a big hit on the XBO to try and win the holidays. Perhaps it's the whole Xbox as a brand vision, and not just as a gaming console.

Wow. This has never happened before but that tweet literally made my eyes hurt. Don't go posting stuff like that willy nilly dude.Damn now I regret ever making this thread

End of the day, if ps4 dropped the price of their system $200 dollars, would anyone have picked up a Xbox One?
It really means nothing, when we trying to conquer the whole world and not just the bubble of the US
Well, many companies that make AAA games wouldn't ignore a system that's doing well in North America. The PS4 is doing very well in worldwide sales and it's doing very well in the territories that are highly into the AAA games obviously.
Overall, being the top selling "core gamer" system in North America is simply a good position to be in when it comes to third party support.
I believe the reasoning behind it is that the American market generally sees a higher tie in ratio compared to other world markets. I believe I read an article about it a few months back, but can't for the life of me find out were the hell it is.
"We"?
My prediction
E3 2015
Xbox One Slim - 400$/500$ 1game and 1tb
Holiday 2015
Xbox One Slim Halo 5 edition 350$

What about what appears to be a flawed methodology? This doesn't appear to be a randomly selected sample.

Yes, I completely understand that the market is important, but it does not exist in a vacuum, and outside of it, the Xbox One is, if I remember correctly, nearly outsold 2:1. You can't just ignore that, no matter how important America is.
But this is the point. In what world (apparently Earth) is one piece of the market more important than the whole market? People neglect the entire world, and some people do not understand why. And I would have to agree and say that I also do not understand.
The console is $329, no way they'd release a slim for more expensive than it is now. I don't think they'll put a larger HDD in it either, consumers are showing that sticker price is king.
Not sure that else they can do if they can't outsell the PS4 with a cheaper console and 4 Halo games for the price of one.
You're right, you can't say the PS3 prints money for Microsoft.Look at that Xbox 360 numbers. And not just this chart but even going with the NPD data, software still sells so much on Xbox 360, its crazy. Say what you want, but 360 still prints money for Microsoft and can't say the same for PS3.
The US is not the world. No doubt. But in the video game industry, it's the biggest market. Even Sony agreed by launching in the US and treating Japan like a second class citizen. The 360 was successful worldwide directly as a result of it doing great in the US.
You're right, you can't say the PS3 prints money for Microsoft.
How big is US market? 40% of console market?
