I would definitely get this game if I had an Xbox One. I'm kinda tempted to buy it without one, anyway. Swery is that dude.
Yeah, the conversations with Kayson really do make going home for a meal worth it.
It's also worth noting that some clothing helps to boost your stamina/vision meters.
I don't even own an XB1, but I am buying this game anyways. Swery is one of my favorite developers.

Pretty sure it's download only.
Q. Fine, what is D4?
A. D4: Dark Dreams Dont Die is an episodic mystery adventure game exclusive to the Xbox One. It was published by Microsoft and developed by Access Games. The games creator is Swery, the man behind the cult-hit Deadly Premonition. The game is a digital download and costs $15.
Well he did make it X1 exclusive that's really not a great decision when you're a small dev team with no zeitgeist behind you. I'd buy it on 360 even but nope.
Man, such a shame. Who would've envisaged the exclusive release of a niche Japanese title would be so under appreciated on the BroBox One?
I can't help you. I don't have an Xbox One and I have no intention of ever giving MS money again. Release it on PS4 and I'll buy it.
It is if it gets your game funded.
LMAO WTF is this shit
It is if it gets your game funded.
You mean the CoD/Titanfall/FIFA machine?
After what MS did before the backtrack, what sort of self-respecting person in the know would buy one? The majority of people who own the Xbone are bros who don't know any better and just want to play FIFA.
There, I said it!

I am not sure what is the worst part of this post - pathetic port begging or belittling someone by their choice of gaming platform...
Talk about taking things too seriously.

I'm not trolling. Im not being a fanboy. That's my honest belief. Those are the people who bought the Xbone.
Its obviously not if the games own director is disappointed with sales, and has to promote the game on twitter himself.
Funded enough to get sent to die :/

And yet...
I think it's clear who is taking things too seriously.
Okay m8! You keep quoting me and trying to get me banned. I'm just expressing my opinion. It's a valid point. The game isn't selling because it's an XBone exclusive and there isn't enough interest from the install base. That's a fact. I'm not "port begging". I'm responding to the OP. Release it on another platform and it'll sell.
It is if it gets your game funded.

I'm not lying about it. Everything I did drained stamina. The game doesn't explain things well and it has a lot of faults. It is one of the reasons it isn't selling well.
Do you think the stamina system is good and encourages exploration or do you just put up with it for the sake of the game?
So because I have X1 I don't respect my self
There are people who bought a PS4 just to play FIFA 15 (and will likely play very few other games). And so what?I'm not trolling. Im not being a fanboy. That's my honest belief. Those are the people who bought the Xbone.
Getting funded is great and all, but now, Swery won't be able to complete his vision/story if the game doesn't sell.
Well, let's hope the IP belongs to Swery so he can port it to PC or PS, especially the Vita since the touch screen control makes a lot of sense.
*Snipped BS*

So it s a "weird game from Japan" only stripped of parts of real gameplay. That sounds mighty interesting. Why should interactive stories all succeed because heavy rain and TWD did. I m quite conforted that not all games of the genre sell well. Must mean gameplay still matters. This type of point and click/quizz/QTE belongs to NDS/VITA for me where you really feel what you do thanks to touch controls. And there is no feedback with kinect.A. Yes. Unless you have a low tolerance for weird games from Japan. But its the good kind of weird, not the tentacle/loli/moe kind of weird. It might even be the best exclusive on Xbox One. And unlike Deadly Premonition, the good parts of the game aren't trapped behind tedious and tacked-on combat or driving.

Your decision is your decision. I personally refuse to give MS my money after the thousands I gave last gen.
My point is perfectly valid. The majority of Xbone owners aren't interested in niche Japanese titles like this. Explain to me how I'm wrong. I challenge you.
That's perfectly fine. But I would wager that the PS4 install base would be more likely to appreciate a game like this. I'm talking in terms of pure numbers here though. I'm not suggesting that everyone who owns an Xbone is an idiot who wouldn't appreciate this game. So stop being offended.
If you can prove that the demographics of the two platforms are markedly different, then go for it. I'm seeing many of the same titles and genres enjoying success on both platforms, and nothing indicating that a niche, digital-only, and conservatively marketed game would be a notably more successful title on the PS4.That's perfectly fine. That is valid point;
Maybe just maybe someone brought a X1, because they play video games. To throw someone is some type of category because of the system they own or games they play is ridiculous.
