STRONG. FEMALE. CHARACTERS. EVERYWHERE. Also I still hate this Jojo because he hates such a loving mother. I hate when my mom acts lovey dovey but I don't call her a bitch. Jeesh. He lacks the charisma of best Jojo. I miss him already.
Above average.
Just like mondaijitachi , i love the idea of characters going to a new foreign world and having no reason to go back to .. More they are enjoying their new status .
NGNL is no different with characters that are confronted to their best challenge yet.
And i like this aspect of this franchise ..now i have no idea how the author plans to make things more intresting but right now he has my attention.
I realise that many ( here in particular ) don't like characters that are too overpowered, too smart , powerfull , or too perfect.... but i don't mind seeing characters that are masters in their own field and are rolling with it.
In short , no game no life first episode is a solid 7/10 IMO... Nothing wrong with this show as it stands right now going by the first episode.
Yeah I can understand people not liking over powered MC, but personally I'd rather have a confident over powered MC that knows what he's doing, than a two rate sissy that doesn't have balls for example Shinji from Evangelion dude's a fucking coward who can't man up when he needs to.

Thats Tohka in your avy isnt it?
She was always kind of dense and super adorable as a result. Cant expect her to know what life is like, being a supernatural being. Kurimi has no trouble adjusting. She just kills whatever disagrees with her.
Lots of shows give me that feeling. Normally theres nothing that fills ythe void but in my latest case I finished Full Metal Panic and have the rest of TSR to watch now. Some shows finish and youre just sad because you wanted to stay in that world.

There are legitimate story logic and storytelling reasons for Shinji to be the way he is, though, which is more than I can say for, say, the protagonist of Mahouka.
I'm gonna sound like a broken record here, but this episode was really cute. Especially the "nighttime" scene and the "zoo". Also kind of surprised to see them making a new ED with every episode, they really didn't cheap out with this series.

I guess you'll find out my fine sir. But anyways I'm not trying to hate on Shinji but at times it just gets frustrating when he complains to many times and I just feel like bitch slapping him.
For this community to transform into reviewers they'd have to lose their specified goggles that makes them look at anime as if it was the best shit ever.
To be clear, that Patlabor one reads "When there are Criminal Minds on the loose and Unsolved Mysteries to be solved, it's time for Goto's Angels to start Breaking Bad".
I have so many of these. Some cringeworthy stuff. Watamote never made me cringe once but reading these blurbs on the packaging makes me curl into the fetal position.

I've seen the original serie , build and rebuild and another thing i don't remember ( haven't seen 1.11,2.22 or 3.33 ) but i think i've seen enough From what i've seen i don't believe that was a legitimate reason for what shinji was or the way he acted.( unless i'm missing a spectacular twist in those movies i haven't seen.)
Garzey's Wing is truly the perfect storm of bad animation, bad dubbing, bad story, bad pacing, and bad basically anything you can expect from an anime. I don't want to imagine it with good VA either Japanese or English would ruin the magic

The Japanese dialogue isn't that much better. It just has a register and intonation appropriate for what's being spoken. A disaster like Garzey's Wing doesn't happen just because of localization.
Oh and I guess things happened in this episode. The opening was pretty great. Gintama's one of the few anime (shows in general, really) I've seen that can pull off meta humor really well. Plus it was educational!
Otherwise though, this episode was surprisingly serious. I suppose it's about time Madao got one of 'em! Dude could use a break.
First impressions of the dub voices for Date a Live are not good. But I'm going to at least try and reserve my final judgement until the crucial scenes for the cast (Tohka's date with Shido, Kurumi going apeshit).

It's one thing to like him, another to at least empathize with his situation and his character. That's kinda what makes him a character and not just a power fantasy.
Man, whenever classical music is playing in an anime good things are NEVER happening. Psycho-Pass does a damn good job of presenting it's dystopian world and telling the viewer how things work. Characters are likeable and understandable, antagonists (the ones so far) are good, and the cases are interesting. The main character, Akane, seems a bit incompetent and uninformed for being top of her class in literally everything but it's a minor complaint.
One thing this show seems to love to do is have characters quote from a famous piece of literature, or mention something a famous philosopher like Plato said once. I'm not sure if any of it means anything or if they're just trying to fill time with cool sounding dialogue, but whatever
that scene at the end of episode 11 was great though
I really wish I watched this show while it was airing, and I learned about halfway through a 11 episode, 1 hour each re-cut was airing in the Summer. I doubt anything will be much different though.
Also I'd like to give props to the OP and ED because they are damn good.
Yes i know OP 2 is godly
I just hope this show doesn't go full retard like some people have told me because I'm really liking it
