Titanfall 2?

I could see an AW2 teaser actually happening, the demand is here.
Also could be an early Ryse 2 announcement.

Imagine RDR 2 being exclusive, lol.

If I got it right something something means two seperate words so Ryse and Titanfall (plus it may be too early for such an announcement) are out of the question maybe?

I'd love to see AW2 but I'll try to keep my expectations in check. :(

Don't read too much into it. I wasn't referring to anything specific.

Umm..ok.

Phil Spencer sounds like he actually knows what he is doing, but it remains to be seen if Microsoft's previous management has already killed the console. Microsoft needs to have an amazing E3 or the PS4 is gonna just run away with this gen.

I want a Animal Cross X Viva Pinata style game. Use the Pinata style but make it bit more like Animal Crossing in terms of house building etc. Same tools as the gardening for Viva as well.

As I have said before. My hope is that Phil does the entire presentation. It would have a better chance of being seamless and would keep the businessman feel to a lower level.

Phil if you read this, if you want to involve people not attending the show, bring back "Bringing it Home"

Show off a game, then announce those watching at home can download the demo after the shows ended.

Hehe. This thread taught lot people on the timing development. I just cannot believe so many people believe this new independence studio can make a big launch title within 2 years.

Yeah, it also taught me not to take any 'insiders' claims at face value.

The worst thing about that thread was that insiders gave the nod that it would happen. Seems that the thread was the only source of insiders.

I've learned my lesson with that.

Indeed...

PGR5 I've heard conversely is being made by a smaller studio (Lucid) and I have yet to hear anything concrete about it.

thats a great idea
would so buy this

I always found the gardening part of Animal Cross to be super basic. The Viva stuff was great. Expand on that and make a much bigger world to adventure around and find those pesky Pinata's!

I love the Viva series. I hope it returns one day.

Pretty much confirms they are going to talk about Cortana functionality coming to the Bone. Which is pretty exciting. They definitely could use a more natural voice system.

Also, great to hear that they are at least trying to bring trying to bring the heat this year.

Also, what is all the insider talk about? I'm too lazy to slog through the thread and I am at work too.

So there will be no kinect games/apps because this year E3 will focus on hardcore gamers, right?

Phil said they had so much to show they have had to cut stuff so presumably they won't. KSR wasn't announced in the conference last year, I suspect they might do pre and post-show announcements on Gametrailers again like last year

You realize it's likely only a matter of time before what you just described is simply streamed, right?
LOL thats not what we are talking about. What I see is the part of the communication. There is a difference between a live stage event where a company is in LA with a crowd and developers or a pre recorded show with no atmosphere only done that way to save money. Anyway, this is getting off topic though.

KSR is a Kinect based game and I think they also realize that doesn't resonate as well with the hard core gamer that's going to be watching/paying attention to E3.

I'm really curious about the Japanese titles.

I'd bet Mistwalker is involved.

I expect D4 to be there, perhaps with a short stage demo and release date.

I almost forget about D4, it's hardcore enough and probably coming this year, so E3 will be a good place to talk and show more about this game.

Pre and post-show announcements for kinect games/apps in Gametrailers seems like a good idea.

I think most 3rd party exclusives will come out of Japan.

Most Japanese publishers seem so hesitant and slow to move to next gen that I think any games from them early on will have to be backed by platform holders.

I do bet we see another EA exclusive for Xbox announced this year though. But that will be it for big western pubs.

Still this should be a good year for MS. Its Spencer's first year in charge and they have everything to prove after the disastrous year they had last year. I expect big things.

I definitely graduate from Campus PlayStation, so feel free to disregard my opinion as you wish, but I just can't shake the feeling that Spencer's mandate over the past few months has been: "Tell people exactly what they want to hear."

I'm confident that they'll have a great show this year, and I'm sure they'll have a lot of content, but everything about his recent Yoshida-like activity on Twitter and even original Xbox avatar (really?) feels, er, forced to me.

I'm sure I'm probably wrong, and I totally realise that they need to change the tides somehow. I guess I just find it a teensy bit insincere right now. Am I being unfair?

Agreed. Great idea. Wasn't this used at the beginning of the 360 cycle? I seem to remember the Lost Planet demo being a part of that unveiling.

Keep in mind that he was asked these questions people. He didn't just tweet "E3 is going to be focused on the hardcore" out of the blue. Someone asked if that would be the case and he said yes.

What's funny about this statement is that 99 percent of the meltdowns against industry people's quotes, are from questions. Especially then "MS needs to shut up about the cloud" comments cone out when journalists cherry pick one line from 45 min interview.

I agree, it's obviously a PR angle; but what's important is not whether or not it's a PR angle (afterall, it is from Sony, too), but whether it's anything more than that, as it clearly is with Sony.

Everyone praised Sony and their leadership team for the same interactions with fans and it bought them loads of goodwill. I would judge Phil on his merits and to this point, they seem genuine.

I understand the skepticism, so you're not particularly being unfair - also your post was worded appropriately compared to others on the similar lines.

You only have to look at the line-up on Xbox One already and announced for exclusive games to show the focus they're putting on getting games to the platform from them even if the overall marketing was somewhat the different.
The Xbox avatar is because they're bringing back a lot of older IP, or so he said. We won't know if he's just playing the crowd fully at this E3 either, he'll have had the job about 2 and a half months by then, it'll take longer to see his influence on Xbox as a whole.

Also, i've only had sarcastic retorts from Yoshida, but thats just my experience.

Phil's been like this on twitter for years. The difference is he's in charge of all things Xbox now.

Never gonna happen. Cinemas aren't doing too shabby and stadiums are always filled. If what you're suggesting were true, there wouldn't be either anymore as there have been alternative channels available to consumers for a long time now. Live experiences are entirely different and won't ever cease to exist.

Also, i've only had sarcastic retorts from Yoshida, so I would consider them a bit different, personally.

@yosp and @XboxP3 couldn't be anymore different.

Yoshida, 99% of the time, separates his real business talk from his twitter talk. He keeps teases about E3 strictly on interviews with proper media, and keeps a fine line between trolling and truth whenever answering questions, that make it hard to figure out whether or not he's telling the truth. When he says his twitter role is that of a customer service, he toes that line to the dot, because he rarely betrays that role, aside from when he goes full /s.

Phil Spencer, on the other hand, has loose fingers, and tweets about every darn thing. Game builds, plans, excitement, hype, all the 20 different old IPs that float around his head at any given time, E3E3E3. He feeds his audience by giving them a sneak peak at his world, and at times, pretty much entertains conversations that would be a PR nightmare, like KoToR:Anniversary, etc.

They've been talking up Japanese games more than Sony has. Good for Microsoft.

What the hell is Sony doing on that front? I hope they show up with something, because it seems like MS definitely is going to.

Has to he a joke post. Its more like sont rained on MS parade a bit.

Not sure about stadiums, but cinemas are definitely on the way out, and soon. All that's missing is same day home video releases.

Talk of the devil (Thuway) he's mouthing off on twitter right now about MS working with Sakaguchi and other stuff, never gives up!

Unless Phil Spencer is lying, or you take the tweet literally, I doubt it considering he said a month or so back that he hasn't spoken to Sakaguchi in a while.

OK, I will say that it will be almost a necessity to own all consoles by the end of 2015. So much is being green lit, from a hungry MS to a Sony that is desperate to stay ahead and from a Nintendo who is still trying to work out how to move its brilliant IPs into mainstream.

Devs and publishers have worked out that genre fatigue is real and is expensive to ignore

So a mini renaissance of new IP funded by competitor from the main platform holders? I can live with that :)
