B) Why we won't see anything truly ground breaking till developers let go of previous Gen and focus on the Power of the Next platform.

I think the concern is nothing to do with "huehuehue gaiz gaiz rap=crap! I'm so wits!" but rather that the music in MK games has always provided atmosphere to the game, usually with oriental stylings. Most other forms of music would be met with equal pessimism.

Pls, look at how many people skeeted when someone inserted that old ass techno MK song from the movie.

Secondary, it's a trailer if the concern that the music will be drastically different in the game because of licensed trailer music then you people should NEVER watch trailers for videogames.

I can observe that in the whole fight characters never change position from a third plane, like the fight is actually in-game they might say or confirm that the trailer is made by the in-game engine

Looks good. I don't see any reason why the next gen versions couldn't be somewhere in the neighborhood of what was shown here. It's a fighting game. Not exactly the most technically demanding genre.

I did not care for a lot of the stage interaction a saw in Injustice like picking up cars and stuff (I've only played it once so I don't know if that is it or not) but stuff like swinging on the branches like what was shown here I am personally fine with.

It also looked like they are adding reversals of some sort. Cool.

Pretty certain Fujin will be in MKX.

So far, I think we can confirm Raiden, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Scorpion, Sub Zero for sure along with Quan Chi and Shinnok of MK4 fame. I'd bet Reptile, Goro and Kano are still around. Fujin was one of the few unique interesting MK4 characters so he seems likely along with maybe Reiko. Characters like Bo Rai Cho have already been mentioned in MK9 so he's a good candidate.
