It's not really possible to argue for or against cross-gen for this game when there is so little info out there about the game anyway. IIRC Watch Dogs cut some mode out of the old console versions. A similar thing could happen here, but ultimately the core of the game will be fundamentally the same across both old and new. I find it hard to believe that a fighting game would stray so far away into the new tech that it couldn't be modified in some way to work on old consoles

It's not well edited, for some reason Vegas was really badly interlacing the video so I had to switch to Windows Movie Maker (which i'm sure many of you know how awful it is)

Really made the trailer more enjoyable for me, as I said before, just gotta hope that the final game has a better soundtrack.

Like Smash, I think it was just one of those things the FGC liked to shit on (sometimes for valid reasons, other times not so much).

But given the competitive scene for MK9 and Injustice (with the latter still at least kicking), I think that front is cool for now.

They should keep on using UE3 for decades to come I presume?

Many devs used Unreal 2.5 far into the PS360's life and because of how much time devs have spent with UE3 I think we will be seeing it for a long time. It's also not entirely accurate to call these UE3 games because the engine has been completely overhauled by most devs to the point that it is practically a new engine. Arkham Knight is a UE3 game and it isn't suffering at all.

"Upgrading" to UE4 right now is a waste because then devs have to learn how to use a new untested engine when sticking with their heavily modified UE3 let's them achieve similar results with more ease and without spending extra money.

I'm 99% sure they will debut MKX gameplay at the gamespot e3 live show as they did that with MK9 and that demonstration blew up huge for them. And I don't remember if they revealed Injustice gameplay at Gamespot but it definitely was the first gameplay demo of it outside of the initial reveal stuff they did.

As many have said before me, I feel the choice of music was poor. Not a bad song, but not appropriate for MK, in my opinion.

Also, not really pleased with the part about it being a "Persistent online contest."

While online capabilities are important to fighting games, animation quality, mechanics and character balance in general will always be the most important aspects in my eyes.

All that being said, I can't wait to see this at E3. Hopefully they'll be able to demonstrate a full match!

I couldn't help how non-ninja-like they fight. Very slow and widely pulled back punches, very reminiscent of a bar fight. Scorpion repeats the same Guile style fire powered flash kick. I also don't like that they decide a winner in the trailer.
