60 FPS code for use with PPSSPP.

_C1 60 FPS
_L 0x20008868 0x00000000

Haven't tried it myself, but from what I hear, similarly to the "60fps" code for Crisis Core this mostly just causes the game to render the same frame twice, so while PPSSPP's FPS counter will say 60, animations will still be at 30. If that's the case, it's not very useful.

Added the 60fps code to the ini. FRAPS now shows 60fps where it was showing 30fps before, but it definitely does not look like 60fps when running around.

Also, shadows are white when playing in PPSSPP. I don't remember the shadows being white on the PSP.

Edit:

Only a few minutes in and this game has already wow'd me. Battle system looks neat so far... We seriously got the worst out of that Fabula Nova Crystalis project didn't we :/.

Everyone who's using PPSSPP please make sure to use the latest development version (obtained from here) instead of what's available on the main PPSSPP site. There's been lots of fixes since that release.

Got the translation downloaded now to wait for E3 to be done so I can be absolutely sure SE aren't releasing this with their localisation and I can order the game and patch it as soon as it's ripped.

Can anyone perhaps host the translation patch somewhere that isn't mega.co.nz? For some reason my it's just not playing nice with my computer/internet

Questions: SO I patched disc one, do I need to patch disc two as well? (I'm basically going to be playing these exclusively on ppsspp)

Also is merging required for ISO if playing via ppsspp?

Bias aside I think this is the best game out of the FNC thus far.

Quick question. If I have already merged the two ISOs using the tool provided before, will using the patcher work? I'm confused by the instruction saying that the patcher includes the merged ISO tool within it. In other words, do I need to make a fresh ISO without doing any merging, and simply applying the patcher, or can I use the merged ISO with the patcher?

Is anyone else having their cutscenes not load for them? I just looked up a walkthrough on youtube and I seem to have have missed the whole into, I thought it seemed weird how quickly the game started.

Edit - Fixed by downloading the latest version of PPSSPP, it's always so simple.

I think it auto-detects. The patch just completed on my merged ISO, will let you know if it worked.

Just had to delete everything pretty much. At times like this I wish I had something larger than a 4GB card for my PSP.

A big thank you to everyone involved in the FF Type-0 translation. I deeply appreciate the work that went into making this a reality. You guys rock.

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
A 2GB patch file...that sounds crazy.

Are the X and O button swapped? Like X is cancel and O is accept?

yep, as it should be. it's the symbols for yes and no in a lot of asian countries. circle for yes, x for no.

on topic, hyyyyyypppppe!!! it's a bit confusing at first, but oooohhh haven't played an action jrpg on psp in a long while. i'm getting some crisis core vibes.

Yeah, the west doesn't necessarily have a reason for the button layout, but we're just used to using the bottom of the 4 button setup for confirm.

Yep, seems to work just fine (I mean, it booted up and it was in English) on my PSP.

It's glorious..... I've legit tears in my eyes as I'm watching the first english subtitled intro video right now.

Thanks so much for making it happen you guys, I'm just glad to be a very very small part of the emulator team that helped to facilitate the translation process in a minor way, especially with the proper execution of the enlarged iso file in the emulator which required some tinkering to work properly in the first place.

Thank you and the rest of the team for your great work!

Yep, same issue. The pre title screen opening worked fine, but after starting the game I just got a black screen with no audio for a while, then the same at the end of the prologue.

Other than that, loving what I've played of this so far. The combat system is really fun, even if it was a bit dense with tutorials at the start.

edit: Repatched the ISO and it's now working fine.

Is there an OT for the game?
I'd love to read people impressions as they play.

ehh....i think there isn't that many people who are playing this game right now.

i started and stopped. i have to do some things. i am still hyped about it, though. been playing a lot of srpgs (tactics ogre, ff tactics, jeanne d'arc, arc the lad, etc.) on the psp for a number of years now. needed some crisis core-esque game.

played birth by sleep but my freaking save got corrupted and i am never going to go back to play through all those hours. just no.

I have the merged iso, any idea how to apply the patch to it? I have it downloaded but don't know what steps to take. I'm on a Mac.

I'm less than stellar at this kind of stuff and any help would be appreciated greatly!

Are cutscenes supposed to be missing?

I just get black screens with the MemStick access light going nuts, but nothing actually happening. If I hit X I get the option to skip the cutscene, but I can never actually *see* what I'm skipping.

If you're playing on an actual PSP, you need to make sure that the ISO driver that's being used is the Inferno one. You can press home (IIRC, maybe select) on the XMB to get a quick menu that will let you double check that.

Before starting to play it: A big thanks for Sky to kickstart the project, the translators and programmers that were part of this endeavour, and the PPSSPP team for making it possible to play it flawlessly in nicer graphics with a PS3 pad on my big screen.

open the patcher.exe. click patch. search for the merged iso and open it. choose where to save the shiny new iso. wait for 3-5 mins until it says ok. done.
