So I'm assuming the playlist plan isnt finalized yet? Hope you guys can maintain a healthy population across all games.

Also, have Unknown and Bigshow commented on being able to play CE MP now? lol. Sounds like a dream come true for those dudes.

Frankly, I don't care what the population distribution looks like as long as I can play Halo CE MP online in it's original form.

I fully expect most players to be on Halo 3 and Halo 2, and only older core Halo gamers playing CE. It's going to be way too fast and difficult for modern Halo gamers to devote a lot of time to it.

Playing through all the campaigns again is going to be one fun time, especially with Halo 2 anniversary.

The way I'll probably go about things.... 1v1 customs in CE, online mp in Halo 2, fun customs in Halo 3, and never touch Halo 4.

You have no idea dude.. Some of you know how I play Smash 64 still, but now I finally... FINALLY have my fallback Halo game/s with the MCC. 1080p, 60fps, Halo CE on dedicated servers? Honestly, I'm seriously interested in what people think of the gameplay going straight from CE to other games from one second to the next.

This is the path 343 is best suited for; the community/fan service.

I hope Halo 5 keeps the Halo 4 Elite design (perhaps mixed with some more classic Elites).
I always like it and like it even more now.
Good to see Halo 2 has Halo 2 Grunts though, i don't mind Halo 4 ones but they don't fit Halo 2.

They looked good. Much better than those lame things in Halo Reach or dinos of Halo 3. Halo 2 design is good but i prefer Halo 4 one. (Halo CE ones always looked like a mess of polygons to me)
 
Questions for frankie:

Are you keeping Skulls hidden or can they be toggled off the bat in H2A?

Is it a locked 60FPS?

Is the soundtrack getting a remaster like with CEA?

Are you using launch builds of the games for multi? For example, 1.0 versus 1.5 for Halo 2, or 1.0 versus 1.1 for Halo 4?

That global UI looks fantastic.

So the UI launches MP for the respective game. I imagine that you won't have the ability to go into matchmaking hoppers inside the respective games, and this is how they are curating all that content in one place. BUT the custom games are all still there of course. Frank touching on that in the IGN stream.

This is an elegant solution, in my opinion. It will lead to you having to master every single Halo game when you go into matchmaking ;) Gotta be the ultimate Halo player. That said, I'm sure there's a possibility of having hoppers in the future that are focused on just one of the games.

I see the ability to see what maps and games are in a particular playlist right in the menu. It's perfect.

Campaign playlists look awesome - great idea.

Ranking cross-game could be interesting, too, but more needs to be revealed about that.

Forge in Halo 2!? Craziness!

Very beautiful contrast. I really like the instant swap. Lighting looks really good, too. Amazing how they were able to put this layer over top. I was convinced you couldn't just last night :p

How does one combined multiplayer work when 4 has join in progress and the rest don't? You'll have a shit load of half full lobbies before a game even starts when a preferred game isn't voted for. Not to mention ranking and control issues as you switch from game to game.

I'm ready to start swipe sniping again. Almost as easy as no scope beam rifle in 4.

So, obviously it's a work in progress, but that Cairo footage shows that they're still apparently using the Saber CEA-style shield feedback for Elites (read: no shield flare, just a tiny outline), which is pretty atrocious compared to the Bungie-style in terms of actually conveying information to the player. Hopefully that gets replaced before it ships. It seems like a total nitpick but it really impacts combat readability - one of the main reasons I never use the new visuals in CEA, actually. It's strange, because otherwise it seems like they're being far more faithful to Halo 2's style than they were with CEA, though I guess it makes sense as 2 was never as moody as CE.

Backwash is never running at 60fps.
Was that a terminal on Cairo Station?
Why is the BR ammo counter red?
Really hyped for this, any plans on a special edition?

Yeah I'm wondering about this as well. Is it a new Forge created just for H2A or is it H4's Forge on all maps (incl H2 maps). And if that's the case, Halo 3's Forge should just be axed (aside from maybe bringing across any leftover objects, etc...).

Don't get it.

It's probably just forge on the 6 remade maps.
