No way Melo leaves Nyc and Lala's career to take less money and play in chicago. Who knows how good Rose will be and I'm sure the'll have to gut the roster to get Melo. Fuck that!

Hoopshype.

ahh thx!

The Knicks, who already have very little outside of Anthony and very little flexibility with or without him, blew up the team to acquire him. They would be absolutely devastated without him, haha. It's crazy.

That Stoudemire signing is going to haunt them for a long time.

Scary to think without that Chalmers flagrant elbow on Tony Parker(missed his free throws) and Tim Duncan missing both his the series would've been a sweep. Think about that.

Guys! Guys!
CHALMERS DID SOMETHING

And yeah, it really is crazy to think about the Heat getting swept here. But it's really just as surprising that they got worked over as hard as they did here. And Lebron knew it was over. He gave all he had.

Can't wait to see the documentary on this team. Hope it includes a good amount of the end of last season too.

So is Bron done winning titles? His prime is probably ending next year or the year after. The supporting cast won't get better. If Wade opts back in, they'll have little flexibility.

Bron could retire with just two, putting him at Isiah Thomas level.

LeBron is a tank. Cramps aside, which only occurs once or twice here and there, the guy is pretty much immune to everything. He hasn't had any major injuries or many nagging injuries. He takes great care of his body, and he is just a physical freak of nature.

He'll be thirty in December. I can see his prime lasting another three or four years, and with his skill set and physique, he can probably still be an effective third option on a team in contention for a couple of years once he hits his mid-thirties.

It's all speculation, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt.

With that said, he'll make a few more Finals appearances before it's all over, I believe. Whether he wins is another thing entirely, but he'll still be able to put himself in position to win for a while.

I think it depends a lot on where he goes this year or next. If he stays with the Heat, I don't see him winning another title unless they pull off a huge coup. Wade is done and Allen is sure to be retiring soon. Even if they got Melo, I don't see them winning another title in the next few years.

LBJ is a tremendous talent. He'll be playing well into his late 30s like Jordan and the other greats. His current playing style lends itself to being an asset with many teams.

He's also physically in the best shape he'll ever be in.

When his legs start to go, and they will. He better adapt and move on from trying to over power everyone.

From the other thread...

The thing that annoys me is that no one was saying the Heat were done before the finals. No one thought the Heat's supporting cast sucked, many picked them against the Spurs. Now of a sudden Lebron doesn't have enough? Fuck that!

Spurs out played them on offense and on defense. Everyone is deserves blame including Lebron, but especially Wade, Bosh and Chalmers.

Actually most people picked the Spurs to win the finals that is why they were the favorite going in. Most people realized that the Heat supporting cast had gotten worst while the Spurs had gotten better. Anyone that actually picked Miami to win thought Lebron could make up for what his team lacked.

Spurs played well, excited this city gets to celebrate another, and this is the first parade my kids will get to enjoy.

Makes it even sweeter by beating OKC and Heat, NOT because I have any hate for those teams (I really respect both KD and LeBron's game) but because they hurt us the most recently. Spurs fans have thought for three years now we had the best team but Spurs have only proved it once. Nice to get a little payback on the two teams that stopped us before.

I'd be stunned if LeBron never wins another title somewhere. He's the best guy in the league, and will be for another 2-5 years, maybe more. He needs some younger team mates with a bench that can be depended on instead of of the star/ring hunting team the Heat has been. He's the Jordan of his era. Jordan didn't stick with two and never get close again. I don't see that happening for LeBron either.

It's a pattern with LeBron that goes all the way back to Cleveland... When things are going well, LeBron is the GOAT, the team is gaudy, and they're favored to win it all.

When things go to hell, suddenly he's stuck playing with a bunch of scrubs.

Don't bring him back in here.

He has helped make the other thread irredeemable. It's awful.

Anyway, in basketball news, I had no clue Anderson opted out some hours ago. I can't imagine he was taking up much cap space, anyway.

Birdman opted out?
Battier is officially retired too, and Allen will decide in a couple days.
I think everybody goes their separate ways at this point.
