Don't take it as an age thing. I was a NES kid, and even when I got a Dreamcast, I was too busy putting hours into PSO to even give Shenmu a second glance.
he was sega's miyamoto with a harder edge.
miyamoto created titles inspired by his childhood, his pets, his gardening hobby, etc, suzuki made games inspired by his love of cars, airplanes, motorbikes, martial arts, and so on.
Shenmue Fans:
It wouldn't have to be so ridiculously expensive again.Yep, it's pretty obvious that nothing will happens about Shenmue III. It's a dead dream, I mean come on, each year is Shenmue 3 year... since Shenmue 2 got released. It's not happening and it's not making sense business wise.
That comment makes me feel so old. Yu Suzuki is, in my eyes, the greatest game developer of all time. Bar none. The guy defined my youth.
It's not happening guys. E3 is over, no reason to announce it now.
IT'S happening.WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT, what is he saying? What's happening??
This is what i'm talking about... People will see the hype and want in.Okay, I don't care AT ALL for Shenmue.
But somehow I'm hyped as fuck.
I thought the same, but maybe it would be a good game to announce at TGS. Given its heritage and the Japanese disinterest in home consoles at the moment, might be a good announcement to make and give the industry over there a shot in the arm.
Suzuki made way, way, way more stuff than Shenmue. In fact, most of his best games came out when you were an "NES kid."
How hard would it be to port the two Shenmue games in a single package and sell it for 20 or 30 bucks?I think one of the reasons it won't happen is because there would be a need to re-release all the previous games again before releasing III
So much this. Even if fake it is fun to dream.Possible Shenmue III confirmation?!
I was trying to say I grew up with a nintendo, instead of Sega systems and had not played anything he'd made, not "oh man, I've been playing games since the NES and I've never even heard of him!"
Spaghetti likening him to Sega's Miyamoto puts it in perspective.
a lot of suzuki's early career-defining work was within the arcade space too, even if they eventually got home console ports, so it's not entirely unusual that some dedicated gamers never got to try his stuff.I was trying to say I grew up with a nintendo, instead of Sega systems and had not played anything he'd made, not "oh man, I've been playing games since the NES and I've never even heard of him!"

There we go, keeping my expectations in check. For browsers and mobile devices.
"Well, graphics and sound have progressed very much, but specially the capacity of the CPU treatment has made very much progress, so I think it's the main point now in advance; how can we introduce IA so that the playability of the game can get better."
Huh. I had no idea that even existed. Now I know why though!
It's not just the joke-logo. We could interview him right before the session, this morning. Lovely man, and:
He's ready to do it, he can now improve gameplay via IA, 11 chapters no more (stop at Shenmue 4), he talked with Inafune regarding crowdfunding.
I feel the same. My youth was largely defined by his arcade games.
Anyway, Yu Suzuki will build a new
Inside joke ^ aboutDreamcast's early Shenmue
Translation:
"With the right enviroment, I would be delighted to make Shenmue III, this is a little joke I made last night"

Be still, my heart.
Can someone explain to me why Shemnue was such a good game?
I was seriously thinking of selling my PS4, all it does is play Crunchyroll for my girlfriend. This making me unthink that.
