Mafia 1 is actually a really excellent, original game that to me is one of the best PC games of its era. I'm not sure I'd pay $100+ for it today, but it definitely deserves the time of day.

I concur. So lucky to have it on Steam, must have gotten it when it was on sale at some point.

Hey guys, do you like games? Do you? Well, then here are three games you should try. One of those is a reverse rhythm and shoot 'em up hybrid, the other one is a great 2D platformer with a retro art style (reminds me of Commodore 64), and the last one is one of the best games I've ever played (and I played it for the first time last year, so I know it holds up perfectly well).

I'm not gonna say which is which, so it's up to you to do the research and enter for the one you want (or for all three, since this is a free for all). Of course, it's always nice not to be greedy and give your fellow GAFfers a chance, so please don't enter if you are only thinking of reselling the game or trading it for Rage.

Anyway, enjoy the games. They are all great in my opinion, and I hope you like them too!

Yo thanks to whoever posted about the Humble sales!

Got Stick It to the Man and The Floor Is Jelly (re-confirmed: it DOES have a Steam key); the first actually was in my wishlist, the second I blame SteamGAF peer pressure.

And even though Guild Wars (1) is great (and I think it's still fairly populated but I'm unsure), it's not really an mmo either. Sometimes it really does feel like one though so close enough.

Had a lot of fun with it back in the day.

Oh wow great giveaway! Not jumping on this one, but Deus Ex 1 is a game that should be in everyone's libarary. It speaks volumes when the gameplay even outshines that of the newest DX game Human Revolution. (which is still a good game in it's own right) There is just something about how many options you have to go about every situation, including boss fights that just makes the game a joy to play and make it good for multiple playthroughs. Plus the dialogue and discussion in this game are top notch, especially the conversation with
Morpheus
. Plus they even have mods to make the game look much better, and it's pretty easy to install from what I remember.

Congrats Hugstable on winning Abyss Odyssey! Game looks great.

HOLY CRAP I WON?!?!

I don't need it on steam. I have the superior purchase through the GFWL store.

I was pleasantly surprised to find Divinity: Original Sin available via my Steam Family when I returned from a mini-vacay. Still the best Steam feature ever.

Now I just need to catch up on my back log.

Vazra

irresponsible vagina leak
The hype got to me I pre-ordered it yesterday. Now we wait. :)

I just wish we had more previews to read and more videos (They are working on a video to release soon) but knowing they are a small team I know not many sites will pick it up as the big games.

Flawless execution it seems

But...What is Love?
I was about to say what everyone else was thinking, but 3 other people beat me to it. Thank you guys xD

Yeah, I loved everything about it, from gameplay to soundtrack to graphics (yes, vanilla version, I liked how those old low poly models and low resolution textures looked). The voice acting isn't too good, but it's charming and I enjoyed it a lot. I knew the game was regarded as a classic, but it still managed to be even better than I expected.

Nah it's not going anywhere. I'm at like 80%+ done on Anomaly 2 and Smiper Elite 3 and Valiant Hearts/Child of Light won't take me more than a week or so.

I abandoned Blacklist for Divinity for the moment and no regrets

im with you on the Blacklist being really good camp but it got samey. Divinity OS scratches an itch that I almost forgot I had

Jazzpunk is so mine! And Jelly too, now that I have seen the trailer.
I gotta start playing more of my games when I move to another place next month.

I still wonder what's the best way to organize ones lists. I think I'm gonna merge High Tier and Low Tier and just call them Games, as I never know what I'm in the mood for anyway. And then have a Junk, Movies, Books and Now Playing category. While also having Casual for the family and Endless for those games I always find time to play.

Seraphis Cain

bad gameplay lol
I really want to preorder Abyss Odyssey on Steam because it's cheaper, but I'm unsure about my ability to play it decently. Damn integrated graphics. =/

I mean I'm still getting it one way or another, since I can just get it on PS3, but I'd really like to get the Steam version since it's cheaper and will definitely get post-launch support, where the PS3 version isn't quite guaranteed to (see: lots of other PC/PS3 games where the PS3 version gets shit/no support post-launch).

Yup, I played it for the first time like 3 years ago or so, and with all the praise the game gets, I wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. It took me a bit of time in the first level to finally get used to the playstyle of the game, but after that I was straight hooked. My favorite section of the game still has to be Hong Kong and UNATCO for sure.

Are the Alpaca Days already over? :(

My Alpaca will always stay, it's the original Alpaca.

The Floor is Jelly is fun, but damn they need to do something about that soundtrack. They loop the same guitar part for what seems like 5 minutes.

You're as broke as the hobo in your avatar huh?
No offense intended
...but no really get the game, even for $6 you'll be getting more than your money's worth. It takes 30-40 hours to complete an initial playthrough!

None taken. Plus it's not even a hobo to begin with.
Maybe I'll get the game eventually, after I clear up more of my backlog.
