I'm not very excited for this, but I hope it rocks. I still love Forza 5. A new game to play this holiday season would be nice, though.

Looks really fun but LOL @ driving over 100mph offroad. Race built trophy trucks, yes; Lambo's, LOL pls.

They should at least make the car thrash around a little harder when they go off road or quickly degrade the suspension components.. or is there vehicle destruction?

Watch Transformers 4 and you will see a Lambo off-road through corn fields. Looks just like Forza Horizon 2.

Yep this is exact reason im not feeling this game. Driving Lambos off road 100 mph, what am I missing, never played the first Horizon.

Wow you guys are right! You know what would be more fun? If you went off road and got stuck in a ditch! They could add in having you call for a tow truck and then waiting there for 2 hours for it to show up just so it can rip off the front bumper as it tries to pull you back on the road. Then they could show it being towed to an "insurance approved bodyshop" where they hold the car for 3 months while they do a subpar repair job. Then you could even haggle with the insurance company about your deductible and then spend months in court trying to get them to pay for any of it!

Wow, that would be MUCH more fun! I can't wait for that game....

Seriously guys, it is a bloody game! Total realism is not what it is going for, neither is it what (most) people want in this game. I dunno, maybe people like to have fun. Weird, I know.

I don't own an xbone and don't plan on buying one but I wanted to see what DriveClub had for competition. I have to say this looks great. No hate from me. Playas!

This is the highlight of my morning. Thank you, lol.

No matter what system you are on this fall, you have great options between this, Driveclub, Project Cars, and The Club.

Gamers are true winners this fall. :D

This looks pretty great! I'll probably pick this up when it drops, though it may have to wait because of the mass of games releasing in a few months. Who has time for all these games? :)

Because it's multiplatform? :p

Nope when ever FH2 or Driveclub comes up they talking about Forza and Gran Turismo or Pcars. While in another FH2 thread, it was only compared to DC of course. I understand because they are on their respective console. But the better comparison would be FH2 vs The Crew.

I think the bigger problem on why nobody mentions The Crew is because there has been barely information on it lately. I was really interested when they first showed it but after the mediocre E3 showing and a lack of info, I think people are just forgetting about it.

I don't think it's just that. The Crew genuinely lacks the polish and refinement of Driveclub and Forza Horizon 2, and even ProjectCars imo. Handling mechanics just seem overly loose, floaty and imprecise, and the graphics and overall presentation leave a lot to be desired compared to the others.

Not saying it won't be a great game, I honestly have no idea if it will or won't, but the exclusives and PCars look a lot better at the moment imo.

Far enough, I wanted to try it out at E3 but there was too long of a line and being a Playstation MVP we had a schedule to go by so it never happened. I hope it does well I actually enjoyed FUEL not as long as I wanted it did get old, but I think that's because of its one setting. The Crew has City, Mountains with snow, Rainy Days, and san dunes with everything in between.

It's true when they say racing fans will be spoiled with all these games. Need for Speed Rivals was decent but it didn't tie me over.

Why do people forget about The Crew o.o

People should forget it because Ubisoft is implementing gros...I mean good design such as microtransactions and always online.

Ubisoft's future digital strategy.

The Crew specific.

It sucks because in theory The Crew sounds pretty good and as I understand it is basically some TDU people making a spiritual sequel.
So thank goodness Horizon 2 is here to take over that mantle then.

Definitely drives home FH2's open world physics angle, which does offer a great degree of freedom and options. How that translates to improving races remains to be seen. There's still the possibility that too much freedom could negatively impact things too, what with some taking crazy shortcuts whilst others might not know them, or just want to stick with the tracks.

On a side note, Driveclub's physics actually look great in that GIF, at least with respect to visual feedback anyway. Conversely I think Playground need to tweak the suspension feedback when off road racing, and maybe improve some of the effects. Eg instead of weird looking random sequential poofs of dust, have it more volumetric. Building up, moving and swaying down the field (and not traveling through the car as it does now). Also have far more grass and dirt throwing up around the car. And when you smash through wooden barriers, instead of a few planks flying through the air, have it splinter in to hundreds of shards of wood, and have less emphasis on that same dust cloud.

It's very easy to find the shortcuts. FH2 displays the checkpoint as a vertical line in the distance, as you can see in the GIF. Just aim your car to it and away you go, avoiding obstacles in the way. Having played it last night, it was easy to get to grips with and there's the option of rewinding too.

As for wanting to stay on the tracks, surely if you know the game is completely open, why not go for another racer that is closed circuit based?

I'm a bit confuse :D

I always thought Inside Sim Racing was focused in Simulator Racings Games but now they are giving previews/reviews about not sim racing games? I never expected they to have insights about DriveClub or Forza Horizon... while fine it is just weird.
