It's funny how MS and Sony flipped regarding firmware updates. Sony was updating like crazy with the ps3 adding tons of features and I remember many complaining about "always doing a firmware update when I turn it on". Meanwhile MS seemed to have less but had these meatier almost quarterly updates.
This gen they almost swapped release strategies. Not entirely but closer than I was expecting at the start of this gen

When you have a game tile highlighted (not selected), its wallpaper image appears transparently in the background with the blue.

Folders are my most wanted feature, even ahead of MP3 playback. Notifications look more polished as well. Hopefully Soony gives this to us at Gamescom.




Care to elaborate on what method would be better than folders?

I really want folders because my list of games is ridiculous. I think what they are saying is that there needs to be sorting and organization options in addition to the folders.

At the very least, it looks reasonable enough that it might be believable. I really want those folders though. Plus pressing the PS button to get more information on a trophy you unlocked, or to expand a game invite thing is really great. Actually, all those things are just stuff I would have expected from their next major update anyway.

Looks like pressing the PS gives you more detail on the trophy you've unlocked, similar to the 360.

This I like. Numerous times I've had to look up online what the trophy was for because I seemingly did nothing. Just yesterday I skimmed through the formations in FIFA 14 and got a trophy.
