Thought I would have to wait till May to buy the bundle and get the Yoshi/Shy Guy skins.

You get the eight colors for Yoshi and eight colors for Shy Guy right away. Along with the three Mercedes cars free, that's a nice gesture to ease the wait for the new tracks... somewhat. :)

Indeed. Gonna give peach a break and use black or white yoshi if he's available

In the images we can clearly see that some of the tracks shown are new, but some of the tracks shown already exist in game. Are they implying that the "classic" cups will just be remixed versions of current courses in Mario Kart 8? Or will the classic cups feature classic courses that have not yet made it into Mario Kart 8?

I really want to see the AC themed level(s). AC is pretty tame stuff so I wonder how they will make them crazy. Maybe they'll be chilled out courses.

As everyone has said, that's a very aggressive price from Nintendo and I can't wait to download this! My son and I (actually the whole family really) are addicted to this game and we can't wait to play more.

Remember that you got a free game with MK8 too, $72 or less bucks for 2.5 Nintendo games, it's the best value of the generation.

They've come a long way since those shit NSMB2 and FE:A DLC though

That's the date for the second pack.
First pack will be released in november 2014.
Yeah I know, just seems insane it's gonna take that long for the second one to come out.

Its 16 new tracks. They show ones currently in mk8 to show off new vehicles/characters.

They're saving surprises for a ND, i assume.

The pic with the old courses are there to show the new characters.

I think this is perfectly good timing for DLC, at least for a main line Nintendo game.

People have gotten used to DLC being shoved at us fast and hard.

I wish it were coming sooner as well, but business wise I think it makes sense.

Mario Karts usually have good legs in terms of sales, and I think this should help keep the game on people's minds and on websites for the upcoming months.

But it's so far off...is the community going to be active enough in November, nevermind mid 2015, to segregate the userbase as such online...

OK Nintendo, I got the message, you mean business. Starting tomorrow I am putting money aside each day until I've saved up enough for a Wii U and some games.

I like the addition of Cat Peach (most requested character), but I can't be the only one disappointed that there's no Pink Gold Cat Peach, or Baby Cat Peach. Or Baby Pink Gold Cat Peach.

Put some effort in, Nintendo :(

The Animal Crossing pack coming out shortly before next E3 makes me wonder if a WiiU Animal Crossing will be shown then

That pricing, seriously that's some incredible value there!

I think those shots are to show off the new karts and characters, not the race tracks.

That price is amazing, and I can't believe Link is actually going to be in Mario kart, and driving the Blue Falcon!! I'm pre ordering that combo pack ASAP. I was a little afraid after the Hyrule Warriors DLC but this DLC is done 100% right.

Wow...that's true.

I will have paid $62 dollars for Mario Kart 8, Wind Waker, and Mario Kart 8.5.

And technically since MK8 and Wind Waker pushed me over the edge for a platinum reward, it paid for a copy of Earthbound as well.

Easy day one purchase for me.

Wonder why this info didn't come from a Nintendo Direct though? I'm sure they could have given us some new updates on their other upcoming games.

The 2nd DLC pack releasing May 2015 makes me wonder what E3 announcement they want to pair it with. It just screams hype transition content.

God, I knew there was no way they had only worked on 32 tracks during the entire time they were developing the game. This is so amazing, I'm definitely prebuying the two packs.

This is just fantastic news. $12 for effectively 50% more content. They could've sold each of these packs for $12, and I don't think anybody would've blinked. Still - the lack of Battle support is shitty.
