Doubt it, PC Gaming makes a lot of money right now its more profitable than last gen and problems with piracy are still high but as long as there is Steam and other key distributors the game will do really well.

The only thing stopping the PC release would be moneyhatting from console manufacturers and pressure from the publisher 2K believing in piracy or low sales or some other BS.

When did Rockstar say this?

They haven't. There's just been a lot of sites reporting on rumors and "Word of Mouth". Basically people at Gamescom heard a lot of chatter that Rockstar was pushing for the first half of 2015. That being said there's no word from Rockstar and the fact that they previously locked it down for November makes me skeptical.

I don't see how this would go over well for Rockstar.

I have to wonder if there is any truth to the rumor (like if they are even thinking about it) what are the circumstances that are so bad they would do this? Because I think the PR for announcing a PC version and then cancelling would be really bad for them. I can just imagine the outrage that will happen if they do that (and I"m not even one of the ones who would be upset as I plan on the PS4 version).
