Good point, I forgot the larger LL didn't support swappable faceplates. In that case, I'd expect a similar box to recent 3DS/Wii Us in terms of design, with character art or new/upcoming games to help it stand out? I don't really know-- I'd never have expected the box to look like this, so I'd trust them to make something equally appealing (at least in Japan).

I would happily put it on display next to my Ocarina of Time 3DS box.

It's transcends garishness to look so appealing, and I LOVE it.

I predict the logo will be red again very soon.

That would be the best possible outcome to come out of all of this.

Mostly cause it bugs me that we miss out on a full RGB spectrum otherwise (Sony being blue and MS being green)

Yes. It has an exclusive title already, Xenoblade Chronicles, that won't be playable on the old 3DS/2DS.
